The combination of that we all play League, TL doesn't want to recognize LoL, and sometimes our users like to do stuff together outside of League makes this thread a good lounge/watering hole. As long as users aren't belligerent, you're free to spam away and talk about whatever you want. I personally think TL LoL OT is at a good place right now. I'm always late to these things. gg I'm pretty disappointed that the Roffles ban actually made it through. It's not like many of the other TL mods actively participate in the TL LoL community, and have any idea of what it is like currently. At least Roffles actively contributed to the TL LoL community in his own way. It says a lot when he is the only one who can run inhouses and have them be popular/fun for the people involved. Then again, I can see why fighting the ban is such a waste of time for anyone involved in TL LoL staff. What's the use of fighting it when TL LoL will never be recognized by TL in the first place? Any time Smite comes up as a topic of conversation, all I can wonder is why these same people don't play DotA2 instead. If LoL is turning you away so badly, then DotA2 is definitely a great answer to a game you should play. Both games are much better than Smite will ever even pretend to be. Even if you disagree with Riot's changes recently, Smite won't even come close to what LoL/DotA2 are.

Smite is also fresh for me, 3rd person view is new and fun. I also got in on the Smite community early on, so I didn't have anyone yelling at me to go back to league while I was still learning, which was nice.

I've never really met an internet community where there aren't people like that. I'm sure it applies to Smite too. You can't escape that online. You can play DotA with a stack. I'm pretty sure there's even enough demand on TL LoL OT to get 5 man stacks going. It's so much better than solo queue. That applies to any ARTS/MOBA out there. These games aren't made for solo play because of how much reliance there is on team communication.

The answer to both is opinion-based, so answering with a question seemed as valid as anything else, considering how subjective it is.

Not to mention that Soniv gave a pretty legitimate answer to the question anyway earlier in the thread which was along the lines of "DotA 2 is huge and daunting to learn and when [he] started playing Smite, Smite was not that huge and daunting to learn yet because it hadn't grown that much yet".

The mythology theme is a huge plus for me and if i get annyoed/bored, i can always just try and learn dota 2. Or riot comes to their senses, but probably not.
