I've already taken the 'before' photos, now gotta keep going for the 'after' ones. I had put on over 30kg since high school -__-. The eating better is much harder than the exercise, especially since my family insists on buying chips/chocolate/all that snack crap and eat it in front of me (none of them are fat mind you). Exercise isn't too hard when you just think of what you'll look like when it's done, girl whom I dated several times rejected me basically because I was too fat a while ago so that is also a strong motivator. yeah man, keep it up it'll be worth once you're done

People mostly use stuff like Unity and Game Maker, though I'd hesitate to ever call Unity "not intensive."
I wanna make browser games that are awesome (again see Card Hunter or the recent Duelyst Kickstarter) so I was thinking the enchantJS framework.
Now if only I knew Javascript...

I can vouch for mordek's internet doctor knowledge on messed up fingers tho.

Yeah Unity is pretty intensive, but it also doesn't require you to do things like write a physics engine or create the logic for one object touching another. It's probably the most program heavy you can go without writing your own system, though.
Do they have artists/graphic designers that go with assets or do you have to make those yourself?

JavaScript is pretty easy, it's just like a C language except with no typing.
In my experience learning new languages is like learning to drive a car different than the one you're used to. Sure maybe the gear shift is in a different place or the brakes are extra responsive, but ultimately you're still driving a car.

Weird thing about JavaScript though is there's no actual syntax for basic things like class definitions or namespaces. There are plenty of workarounds to get the functionality you want but IMO it ends up feeling very hackish.
Like the standard way of defining a namespace is as a global object who's members you then reference.

I just learnt the existence of window.opener. The mindfuck regarding the functions' calls and behaviours until I found it was going strong. Of course there are still things I hate with this project, like having to open 3+ files at a time to track down and clean database requests' parameters then going through five more levels of files to track down which ones use the functions you just corrected so you know what to test.
>_< So much time lost wading through file arborescences.

Meanwhile Edmund McMillen made Binding of Isaac in Flash...
Luckily the remake is looking much better. BOI has some terrible bugs and is pretty damn intensive, alongside it's huge replayability. 255 Hours played, no shame.

People show up to jams as programmers, artists, designers, and sound designers/musicians, in that order of popularity. Every sound person works like... eight projects.

I've upgraded my machine. :D It still sucks, but atleast the gfx-card isn't dying anymore and I can stuff my old mouse somewhere it won't see the light of day until the apocalypse. I do feel a bit of nostalgia though. I've used the mouse for over ten years. Last year I even cleaned the wheel to get it functioning again (oh what a greasy nightmare that was).

Is that a ball mouse?

Yes. I guess I can show how MY actual mouse (and ball) look... sec + Show Spoiler + Notice the tape required to keep the pitted ball tight enough to not slosh around.

Oooh, if you spend $100 on an order on Games Workshop's new website, you get a limited edition Space Marine Captain. While Captains aren't the best HQ choice for SM or BA, it's a pretty good model that's free (with purchase) and limited edition...
Edit:
Stephen Colbert will be the host of the Late Show after David Letterman retires. While I'm happy for him and excited to see him in the big leagues (so to speak), I'll really miss the Colbert Report
