The game was designed with pair-ups in mind and it's ridiculously OP. Like, insanely OP.
I spent like an hour using the DLC EXP map. Got Chrom, FeAvi, Ricken, Donnel, and Archer Guys (I can't remember his name for whatever reason). On chapter 7 now. only 5 restarts, mostly because of Map 5 when you get Ricken, I wasn't leveled up enough for it and there was no way to save the two of them without burning a Rescue Charge AND nearly having to sacrifice the cleric chick.

Hm. I think that one I just went right into it without grinding haha. This is mostly from memory since I played it a long time ago but what I did was pair Ricken with Maribelle and immediately dash towards the main group. Main group huddles up and moves to Maribelle. Pray for some RNG as all the flyers converge on you and then with Lissa+Maribelle double heal slowly grind out the rest of the map.
Watch out for the anti-grind kicking in during your Hard Mode run which will mess with Second Seal abuse though. For Hard Mode and up, the game tracks a "hidden internal level" which is the cumulative levels a character has gained. So if you get to 20, Second Seal to grind and get to 20 again your internal level is 40. I think on Hard Mode the cap on the internal level is 40? Anyway, your current exp gain is based on your internal level and not your displayed level. So if you repeatedly Second Seal you'll find that exp gain is harder and harder.

Captain America: Winter Soldier was really, really good. Would recommend 100% will probably see it again soon. Credits scene was off the chain.

I am really surprised to hear all the positivity regarding Cap 'Murica. How is it so good? The first one was like as bland and average a superhero movie as it gets.
|
I liked the first one, then again I just like Cap as a character. I'm a sucker for pure-hearted good guys in settings where everyone else is cynical.
This one might be one of the best Marvel movies so far. It works well as a political thriller (maybe a bit predictable in places, but not enough to be bad), the action sequences are phenomenal, and not only are all the characters well acted and written - they also work well together and have good chemistry on screen. It just works all around as a film, few if any downfalls.

that picture thread sure was... something photography sure is amazing

Found out that there's a melee tournament at a local mall every saturday, so I went to today and got destroyed. Pretty fun though, watching PewPewU play in person though is something else. I guess the same could be said about a lot of people you only really watch on twitch though.

WHY AM I STILL READING THIS MORBID THREAD

My fucking god. EVERY single person on the ladder tonight seems to be running fucking zoo, rush hunter, or handlock. I don't think i've played vs anything but warlock or hunter in the past 20 games. And you never know what to keep as it's like a 50/50 to be zoo or handlock. x_x

Everyone is playing aggro deck it seems, casual/ladder it doesn't matter I gave up after 15 or so strait hunter/lock games. I ain't got the cards to deal with that yet. It's flustering.

Welcome to formats where you have very small card pools. There are 3 decks and they beat each other (for the most part) in a triangle. At the competitive level the game is very stagnant right now, as more of the RNG cards get nerfed, others will take their place.
Take some time and play arena. I haven't even logged in except to play my roommate via ipad whilst he shat.
