Seriously though TL Inhouses are hard as fuck right now, the level of play teamplay in them is super high and it's a great way for someone to learn a lot by forcing themselves to step up to the level of play everyone is on
Although sometimes tensions run high in these matches just by the nature of it, a long, drawn-out, back and forth match where you pick on someone to win makes for some touchy situations

jeigens #1 always and forever It's not Jeigan. His name is obviously Marcus apparently in the new advanced chogosu system of fe character classifications, there's a new class of characters who are better than jeigens marcus apparently belongs in that category marcus was a bro too needed him to put in so much work to s rank hhm I'll take it it's not Blazing Sword's Marcus.
I'm... "playing", I guess. An ARAM/coop every time to check that EUW still dead to me, then I close the client once it's confrimed.

The level is high, plus I'm on voice chat with a bunch of people I don't know, and I'm probably the lowest ranked so there's a lot of pressure to not screw up.
It's fun though, but so far I can only manage to play 2 before I gotta relax.

My skill level is so vastly below everyone else's at this point, literally everything I do can be worked on or critiqued so there's no real point in having my whole game pointed out. Hell until last night I was still running S2 runes and masteries!

Unless they're name changes or characters I didn't unlock... It seems like you aren't using a taguell or dragon? Aren't they some if the strongest characters due to their higher level cap and stronger growths? I can basically solo the last keel with my lon'qu + na'wi partnership O_o
I'm bad tho so I'm probably doing it wrong

Nowi is very, very strong. So you're doing it right don't worry about it. I just don't like using Nowi for the reason that she looks like a little girl, is 1000 years old and can get into relationships with other party members. That just makes me feel weird all over.
Panne (The taguel) is also very strong. Also has the added benefit of possibly being one of the best mothers in the game. Her offspring will have very high stat caps. I don't use her though as I don't think taguel are all that interesting. Mercenaries and only Mercenaries for me.

Yeah, I quickly became bored with the Taguel/Manakete classes because they just... didn't have variety to them at all. And particularly since I couldn't power them up with Seals, etc. But maybe power leveling one of them (probably the latter Manakete from Paralogue 17) would help.
Lon'qu is already with Cordelia in mine, so that's my key partnership atm. Though, honestly, I'm tempted to get everyone to Dark Flier 15 since Galeforce is broken as fk.
Edit: Also, Taguel/Manakete weapons were kinda hard to find early in the game, which pissed me off.

Hell until last night I was still running S2 runes and masteries! I've only played in a few but I'm a recent member of Silver V and I felt relevant in the games I played. Playing with better players is super helpful. Learning the calls from experience and even asking why (hummingbird almost always answered me when I'd say "what should I be doing now?" and "Is X a good idea?"
Yeah it's a tad stressful when playing with people you don't know but you got to remember pretty much everyone is there to improve and help others improve. As long as your not raging or trolling you're in good company.
Edit: If it helps, you can cope with the stress by acknowledging your low rank/experience/skill. It's not an excuse to not try hard and learn, but if you make a bad play and it's pointed out a) that's exactly what you need to learn and b) it's gonna happen because you (we) suck. It's expected and the only time it's an issue if you're mindset is bad for inhouses.

Yeah, having to use your taguell/manakete sparingly until you can buy weapons for them sucks but I personally think the shapeshifter type characters are really cool. To be fair I only played on normal/permadeath this run an I'm gonna do max difficulty/permadeath next run. Should I focus on a single partnership an funneling exp to them? Or should I spread out the wealth like I did in this run? Also - one of the few levels I couldn't beat 'the right way' was the early paralogue to rescue that villager. I rea somewhere that he has the best growth in the game but I spent about 5 hours trying to rescue him before just about breaking my 3ds in half. Worth trying in hard mode? Also, are archers even viable in this game?

I got him in Hard mode and it was annoying but it worked out. However, he started so weak that I couldn't level him initially and stopped trying. I spread out the wealth pretty liberally and generally had one powerhouse character for different phases of the game. Started with Frederick, then went to Lon'qu, then Cordelia, and now Gregor, Maribelle, Vaike, Severa, Say'ri, and <<Main Char>> are all pretty damn strong.
In fact, so strong that I kicked ass in Chps. 20-25. AND NOW FUCKING LAST CHAPTER ARGH.

magic is like crack it doesn't help that my LGS had a 50% sale on cards so I got a bunch of cards for cheap and now all I need to complete my modern vengevine deck are 8 fetch lands.

I wish I wasn't so trash at Strategy RPGs, they seem like fun.

I get my fix with cockatrice and online drafting with bros.

but the rush of facing an opponent face to face and playing with 30 others at FNM is a huge part of the fun
edit: and good luck with your draft, mr_tolkien!

That's true. I didn't say it was the good stuff! But seriously, it's been super nice to play some without making a huge commitment.

Well first of all, if you're going from normal mode to lunatic, you're going to be in for a rough time. Really rough. If you're going to play lunatic then I hope you like Frederick. You're going to be using that guy a lot. I'd recommend doing hard first, but if you want to do lunatic, then more power to you.
As far as character leveling goes, I don't do a single pairing and make them amazing, I usually end up doing at most 6 pairings and go from there. So for example right now I have <Avatar>/Cherche, Gregor/Cordelia, Chrom/Sumia, Gerome/Lucina and Frederick/Miriel.
Also the villager (His name is Donnel) does indeed have the best stat growths in the game. And while I like using him, don't worry if he dies or something. While he does have good stat growths, his stat caps are a little low, and when you reclass him from villager to mercenary/fighter, he'll have an E in either swords or axes which is a hindrance.
As for archers, personally I tried really hard to make Virion useful in this game, but to do so I had to put in a tremendous amount of work and resources to make him useful. I'd say don't bother, but some of you may have had better luck than I have with Virion. I've had no problems in other Fire Emblem games getting good archers, but in Awakening I feel that they're pretty lackluster.
Also, here's a very good resource for all Fire Emblem Awakening questions: http://www.serenesforest.net/fe13/
Though you can go to http://www.serenesforest.net/ for in depth information about any Fire Emblem game.
Hope its useful!
EDIT: If you go to those sites expect spoilers. I think they're normally pretty good about spoilers but they are there. Especially on the forums if you choose to go there.

Jund, faithless looting and grisly salvage as enablers with minor dredging from darkblast. but I haven't done any playtesting yet because I'm missing some cards and lands. I do really want to make it though...
