New inhouse logistics TBD. In the meantime, feel free to hang out in the league general discord https://discord.gg/0lCEKA3jUEFxERzd ("add lol" in #welcome) and get some ad-hoc games going! |
In House:
Kennen(GTR)/Lee Sin(xes)/Karthus(OmNomNomNom/Caitlyn(StorrZerg)/Nami(Heart Buster)
v.
Elise (DragorMeteor)/Zac/Lux(Umasi)/Corki(Flakes)/Lulu(Karma Police)
Lane Swap: Blue side sent AD/Support top. Did soft invade on my red at level one but backed off after getting ward placed.
Lee/Kennen counterjungled me at my blue while I cleared red. Lee escaped by flashing God knows where (we looked for a while), Kennen went bot but died. From here:
- Counterjungled Lee's Red, giving red to Corki. I think this was the correct response to their counterjungle. - Stayed bot to put pressure on bot tower, but Lee came down to hold it. Went to jungle. I think I should have immediately went top instead of clearing -- Elise got 3 man dived; Lee died but no kill, Elise died. - Kept pressure on Lulu/Cait, but they eventually got tower and went back to bot on the swap. Got some jungle clear time here while this happened. Our bot lane stayed too long and died, even though we suspected they were swapping. - Blue made a questionable Dragon call. Lux did a nice job poking safely, until I was able to engage (although I couldn't steal without overcommitting). We came out very ahead in this fight, and got bot tower. - Bot and Lee tried to dive me at bot tower to take it. I think I played this really well, getting a kill on Lee without popping my passive until I got indecisive on whether or not to chase Caitlyn. I still lived, and we got a bunch of kills and kept our tower. - We managed to put a lot of damage on mid tower after this, using some nice bindings by Lux to start fights. When the next dragon popped, we got a really solid engage around the enemy red, which gave us a free baron. - Enemy team pushed bot tower as 4; we countered by sending 3 mid, forcing Karthus to TP back to mid. We got the inner turret for free, and kept pressure on to get the inhibitor turret as well.
Overall, I felt that I was a little lost with the combination of the laneswap and the invade on my blue. Since bot got the kill on Kennen, we got their red buff back and a ton of damage on the bot tower, but I felt like I didn't help either my duo bot or my top as much as I could have. I think I just need practice in this situation, because I felt like I was juggling a lot of possible options and didn't know which to pick.
I would also love some feedback on my Zac play here. Was really fun doing this today, and hope this keeps up (and that I have a chance to get my ass handed to me a few times).

Second game went nicely Our team had a much clearer vision at the picking phase. Bottom lane was Ashe/Zyra vs cait/thresh I did more reasonable with cs'ing this game, and keeping better position / keeping my dps up.
Team wise we ended up giving up the first 3 dragons to the other team. Like to do better at preventing nasus from taking free dragons next time I play against him.
also if using ts can we get access to the tl practice rooms

This inhouse. Mainly my perspective since I don't have lolreplay.
Taric mid - Boots was surprising. (I thought it would be jayce mid taric top) but besides that, point and click CC with that much base MS is unfair midlane =(. Probably want to farm jungle more since IIRC, he was down ~80cs at 20 mins.Good counterpick since I was expecting to be able to just cs melees with autoattacks and Q you. (Boots make that very difficult to do) Lee Sin Jungle - Very good ganks, shut me down rather hard early-mid game since I didn't have a ward. Was especially painful since I didn't have enough money for tear until the second time I died. Probably want to save ulti in teamfights to get me out of your team after about 25 mins since defile does so much damage later on. Jayce Top - Dueling - If you're choosing your fight, W about 3s before you go in in ranged form. You can QE, 3x auto, auto W-> switch forms and combo or just stay in ranged form. 6-7 muramana empowered autoattacks generally wins duels. LW is probably something you want to grab earlier. Janna - You need to focus a bit more on vision control. Even if it means you need to be squishier, skip the ruby crystal for an oracle if leona has one. With an oracles, you don't really need to buy pinks anymore if the other team doesn't have a stealthed character. Graves - Lategame, there's going to be absolutely nothing you can do against a karthus flashing in, exhausting/walling you and then gibbing you. A good bit of that is due to just needing more farm. If you had more farm you could get a QSS to back up the barrier. There's no way you're running away, even with flash+E so it's better to eat the defile, pop barrier, dodge skittles and try to duel me down if your team can't get me away from you. Leona - Good vision control, but way too ballsy with the Dora the explorer to get vision. If anything touches you while you have mobi's, especailly if you're miles deep in our jungle you're dead. You should get your team before you go that deep (Unless of course you're replacing wards in which case that's fine since you had mobis and no one on our team did.

Okay, here's my analysis, paying attention to mid lane and teamfights:
1. You guys dealt with the invade okay, but Janna shouldn't have been warding our blue on her own. 2. Keterah, you shoved the lane up enough I could take Drunken Rage second and be fine. If you don't do that I have to get body slam second for safety and run out of mana a lot more quickly. That's after I got to lane first. 3. I hit you with 2 consecutive barrels while you were standing on the minion wave, and then following that you walked into body slam rage as you crossed all the way into my third of the lane, right as Xin was coming to gank. Burned your flash and got you quite low. 4. From about 4 minutes right up until Xin arrives, you're simultaneously shoving the wave with your E while autoing me. With no flash while you're very low. While I was low, you had absolutely no mana and very little health, so this kill was completely free. You should have backed sooner. I was hugging the left side as much as I could because I knew you placed a ward somewhere around there and was trying to push you towards the left side while Xin was coming in. You knew Cho was at wraithes, so I suspect you felt comfortable doing exactly what I wanted you to, but it was a trap. 5. Around 6:40 I tried to kick you into my tower with my ult, but missed ever so slightly and kicked you away. You responded by walking forward. You didn't have vision on my blue side, and you couldn't really accomplish anything even with my ult down. If Xin were lurking (and often times when a Gragas ults, their jungler will be nearby), you would have been dead because you walked forward. 6. First dragon is at 13 minutes. I blew my ult somewhat blindly trying to keep Cho and Lux away and missed them both. It did buy enough time to take the dragon and then get away with Zyra ult (which was pretty clutch Zyra ult). 7. Around 14:30, Cho feasts blue because he's worried about me stealing it. Barrels don't give vision and we didn't have a ward. Then you tried to bind me while I was in the bushes, but got in body slam range. This was a crucial mistake, because it let me land a barrel and then explosive cask you and Cho apart, which meant Cho couldn't help you at all. 8. Neo dies because I'm not paying attention to our wraithes at all, and the junglers are severely underleveld. Whoops. 9. 16 minutes in, we contest your red. We have vision and I kick Cho into our team and he dies outright. Jax could have walked away but decided stunning people would be a good idea. Manages to get away anyways. 10. Janna really shouldn't be warding by herself when all 5 of us just showed up in your jungle and she has no idea where we're at. 11. 20 minutes another dragon fight breaks out. I get stunned and silenced. I could have ulted sooner, but was focusing on getting dragon. Even so I get my damage off on Cho and Jax, and kick Cho towards Graves when he's super low. Graves cleans up. 12. 23:30 we have a really weird fight. Kennen gets a turret out of it, so even though Neo dies, its fine. 13. 25 minutes I catch Lux and ult her back into us. Easy kill. 14. 26 minutes in and some change, for some reason Neo engages after telling me to back so Zyra dies. You guys get a dragon out of this, but I told them to go in because I'd get there in time. Ended up killing quite a few of you, although Kennen getting lasered at the end wasn't so great. 15. 31:30, I backed when someone else should have. Meh. Me overestimating myself and screwing up a lot mechanically. 16. 33 minutes, big dragon fight. Given the huge deficit, not much you guys could do to win this. Game is pretty much over after this and a baron.
So points 3, 4, and 7 were the crucial mistakes as far as mid lane goes. That 1k-2k gold difference was pretty much all that separated us the entire game, but it let me dictate the lane and teamfights to a large degree. I've suggested it in the past, but I think you should at least try Gragas until you know him well enough that you have a better idea of what you can get away with against him as Lux. That's originally how I got into him- I got sick of the fat dude smashing my face in. He's pretty similar to Lux despite being melee, he just trades utility for the knockback on his ult and mobility. His q is pretty much Lux's e but it does a lot more damage and it's on a lower cooldown (and it doesn't give vision, but it does have an attack speed slow). Because when you were doing points 3 and 4 I was thinking "I'm not exactly sure what he's thinking, but I'm pretty sure I would never do this based on what I know about the matchup."
Also I counted the number of times you got hit by my barrels while sitting in a minion wave. 14 at least, and most of those are in the first 15 minutes of the game and each one of those barrels chunks you for like 1/3rd-1/4th your health if you don't cast your shield in time. That's almost 1 per minute. So you have to back every 3 minutes approximately ignoring potions and flask.

![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/j4SKMNi.jpg) (I always forget to ss the endgame lobby) Ashe+Zyra bot, Liss mid, Lee jungle, Rumble top vs Cait+Thresh bot, Brand mid, Nasus jungle, Cho top
I went Cho since I've been meaning to pick up a safepick tankyAP top and I don't really like playing Singed/Malph (tho I'm willing to play Malph as a counterpick). My lane went well with a first blood on Rumble thanks to Nasus gank. Rumble TP'd back to lane and began pushing again without a ward and died to another gank. I bought a chalice with the plan of just afk farming, but since Rumble stayed pushed Nasus went top again for his third gank and was successful. I didn't learn too much from the lane because it was kinda lopsided, but got some practice at my Cho mechanics which are pretty sloppy (I still died once to Rumble 1v1).
Midgame we found out how much Ashe+Zyra+the rest of their team pooped on our melee tanks I had a grail + bulwark at this point, and cdr boots which I quickly realized was dumb and sold them for merc's/started FH. From my haven't-watched-the-replay-yet perspective, it just seemed like teamfight after teamfight of being kited to death by Ashe/Liss/Zyra. I would have focused more on peeling than chasing, but Milo(Brand) tended to just throw his combo at the nearest enemy and lag to death, while Borne(Cait)... I don't know what he was up to and I probably should have paid more attention to him. I did get the impression that keeping melee off him wasn't the problem in fights after one where we instagibbed Lee and still lost 5v4 from pure kiting.
So I guess I learned about Cho's weaknesses and that I need to think more about team comps. imma watch the replay and probably learn a lot more things.

Hell yeah, leading the enforcer squad regardless I think that you adapted to situation quite well. It actually wasn't a counterpick to your karthus, since I first picked him and we were like "go taric go" tbth, I would actually pick karthus into that BECAUSE taric can't stop you from csing. Placing a ward to one side and then trying to range from the other side would have been a good idea though.
Otherwise I agree with your thoughts

As Jayce, I was using W right before To The Skies! so that I would get the autos off in hammer form, but BorK is a strong item. I should just stay at range next time for sure.

there's no particular reason to use hammer form swings, to my knowledge.

Cho is a sustain top. My goal as rumble was to try and push you as hard as I could so you cant last hit. That backfired when i got ganked 3 times in a row in under 3 minutes. I also skip wards a lot...
The nasus camp definitely helped you, but it didn't put me that far behind for some reason. I still had decent items while you had like grail/whatever else you bought. You can't initiate the trades with me as cho; I just waited for you to miss your Q before i went in with my Q. As Cho, you just wait for the other guy to draw minion aggro, then QW+AA him. Also keep in mind how much hp the other guy has; there were a couple times you could've just eat+ignite me and I would've died.
Normally I would rush frozen heart on cho. AGainst AP tops, I would probably go RoA.

As for team comp, my team just picked what they wanted and it seemed to work out in term of team synergy. Your team (Cho Jax Vayne Janna Lux) was ok. Was it really that bad? Well for starters, at first we invited somebody on the other team into our call. Then it took us several minutes to actually get all 5 of us in the call. Secondly, skype significantly lowers the sound of other programs by default, which makes playing a little awkward. Thirdly, we weren't able to talk to people on the other team before and after the game and actually discuss the game. Finally, at one point I disconnected for like 5 seconds and had to alt tab to get back into the call. Teamspeak would fix all that.
You can remove the skype sound damping really easily. I guess if people downloaded skype just for the sake of this program it would be a bit confusing.

Lategame, Jayce's W is on a 6s cooldown, 3.6s with 40% CDR. If you cast W and wait ~2 seconds, you can essentially chain together six 130% AD, 2.5AS, muramana enhanced autoattacks, seven if you use the second cast of W as an auto-reset (This is also notably the abuse case Morello has his panties in a bunch about). You do get a bit more burst out of going into hammer form but unless you're dueling/cleaning up, it's best to stay ranged since if you go in, unless you can kill everyone, you're going to have to flash out.

It looks like this continued well after I left after the first game finished. I like the idea of taking a screenshot of the victory screen with items/levels/etc.
Use this format when you're talking about a completed game. It'll give the reader better idea of the situation.
