This league stuff is a stupid system. It hides what is going on. That can not be a good thing. And it infuriatingly puts a lot of emphasis on promotion series while also trying to put you at a 50% winrate through its matchmaking, making the whole process just frustrating because you have to roll the dies until you finally get that winstreak. It just trys to make the difference between where it actually rates you, and what it displays as large as possible while also confusing you as to what is going on.
Most people feel more comfortable by using a 0-100 scale where they can see themselves moving up a ladder. It makes the difference a matter of "I passed these four people" instead of "I'm 10 points higher now, even though I have no notion of what that means unless it is a multple of a hundred." It provides a placebo effect.
I agree, elo is a better system, but not everybody shared our sensibilities.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. Especially considering that you can lose two games after being promoted, get dropped down, and then need to win 4-5 more to get promoted again.

That would kind of make sense if places in league were in any way relevant. But you jump so far up and down the league with every single game. I never even know what place in league i am. I just notice that i get a series, and then get annoyed because in the next 4 games i go 2:2, but win the wrong 2 games.
For example, today i had 2 promotion series. Lost both 1:2. Then i got 3 stupid games in a row and now i am at 26 LP. (Lession btw, if you lose a game, stop, don't play until you win another one because it just won't happen). How is this not way more infuriating then an Elo system could ever be? You just spike up and down and up and down so fast, and in which order you win or lose is incredibly important more important then how many you win or lose.
Also, why is Eve not permaban at every single level? There is no champion that is more annoying to play against. You just can't ward against eve. She has 3-4 ways to get into any lane, and you need to have a pink in each of them. If you invest that much money, she does not even need to gank you since you basically waste 1-2 kills of money every 3 minutes just through her existence.

Whenever I come into lobby and someone says they are smurfing and "mid plz" I get a nervous twitch. Actually it's not just a nervous twitch anymore, it's like a rage-trigger. Someone says they are a smurf, I turn into my alter ego Sebastian, and he does NOT put up with even slight bullshit. I let it pass, I already got top so I'll just focus on my lane.
Top as Riven, and for some reason the other team decides to laneswap in soloq so I just farm at tower until it falls. At 15 mins I have been farming whenever they push my lane, roaming to other lanes (got our adc a kill though I died in the process), basically been doing pretty well.
I follow Elise into our jungle from top, and I ping our mid, the smurf, that she is low. He doesn't notice the ping, stays in lane, and gets ganged by Elise + 2 other people from the other team.
This resulted in him, the smurf, being 0 4 0 at 15 minutes, with 60 cs as Jayce mid vs a Malzahar, and for some reason... he decides this is all my fault. I have two deaths, two assists and twice his cs. He suggests this is all irrelevant, because I have not pushed down top tower. I turned the matter over to Sebastian, and he played the rest of the game while I took a break.

I'm a smurf generally means "mid and feed". The real smurfs are the ones who stomp lane(s) ridiculously hard, have 50% more CS than the next person in the game, and when you lolking them after are like 25/3 with 9.0 kda. CS in conjunction with score is what really tells a smurf apart from a snowballed person. A snowballed bad will only have minimally more farm than most other lanes, despite sporting a massive kill lead.

Riven is pretty decent against him. Max shield and block his snowballs.

As Nunu top I had hard time vs Elise and vs champs that can clear waves very vast (e.g. kha zix, vi, singed) the trick is that nunu still can harrass them with E, but if they go in the lane with a lot of sustain at some point they push the lane to nunu's turret and there he struggles for ages to push it back, nunu is just incapable of pushing it fast. I mean this is not exactly "stomping" but it makes nunu pretty useless and Elise she kind of stomps him
p.s. and all this is from before the jungle nunu patch, back then u can sustain in lane with only 1 point at Q, now every champ that can harass well will stomp on nunu coz he ll have to chose between maxing Q and E, so either he can harass or he can sustain, not both like before

Oh guess I'll explain. Q keeps up with him even if he's bloodboiled, E stops ult, W blocks Nunus only offensive spell, Nunu has no way to break the tether either, Nunu has no chance in hell in a melee fight.

When you get a premade of 4 + 1 vs your 5 solos.
When each game of the day a top laner doesn't answer to pings and lets go of a kill, sometimes even letting an ally die.
When there's a terribad Jayce against you but since his jungler buddy is there for him and the champ is ridiculous he can still afk farm.
When you realise his EQ hit you for 450+ damage despite you having 160 armour and him only a bruta and the mastery.
There's just days when nothing goes right nor can amount to the bullshit you're confronted to.
