Blind pick, I wait about 10 seconds as usual to see if anyone wants mid before I take it (I want to practice Morgana, and she's permabanned at my Elo in draft, both normal and ranked). Nobody takes it, so I select Morgana and don't lock. About 20 seconds left on the countdown, our jungle Rengar switches to Lux, and calls mid. I tell our Clarity Lux that I'd had it selected for a while now and that I'd like to mid. After putting up a fight, saying she'd called it, so she should get mid (seriously?) she says fine, then right before the champ select ends, she says she's going top.
Game starts, I ask Lux to go bot and support. She says no, and she says that she only goes mid or top. I don't want to force our Riven to go bot, so I cave and offer to let Lux have mid while I support. Morgana's hardly a top tier support, but she can do it. Riven said no and volunteered to stay bot with our AD.
Thankfully, we somehow managed to win that game. I dominated enemy Lux in lane through a combination of good play and good luck, and our top lane Lux managed to not feed Darius because their Darius wasn't too good. Just unbelievable what some people actually think on the internet.

Man people in this game are so susceptible to rage. I have 2 bad games in a row and one game that I couldn't carry and every single game I get ragers and people who just blame me for about 30 minutes straight. Pretty annoying but whatever lol. Makes me just want to go on tribunal and hope I get one of these guys as a case somehow. 1900's have probably some of the most toxic players 8:00 pm pst weekends.

Do people really expect this is the way it should work? Is your right to play a certain spot entirely decided by who can type "top" the fastest?
The correct answer is no, if the person ahead of you wants to play the spot you wanted, grow up and play something else. I mean, I don't mind if people ask to play something, but to call a spot and then bitch when the four other members don't respect it is BS. Do you remember when you were in early and middle school and you'd have some break time to play with toys and all your teammates would run and fight to pick the coolest toys first? Or when you were preparing the play for Christmas' audition and all the kids would yell calling the coolest role? Or when you went on some school trip to a candy factory and the guide would ask "Who wants to try a candy?" and all the kids would bumrush to him to get the candy first even though every single one of them was going to get a candy in the end? Well, the kids you meet in League of Legends are already in high school or college, but their mental capacity and maturity is still anchored back there. If all the roles are still available, they'll call them out asap to claim them as theirs, and if denied, they'll make as much noise and threats they can to get them. If that doesn't work, they could very well boycott the whole team. To me, this is because they're still in that stage of life where they have everything they wish delivered by their parents and haven't faced reality yet, thus not understanding that others may be above you at certain times and that you have to suck it up and adapt to it and work hard until you can reach that higher spot by yourself. I'm not justifying their behavior, as they're old enough to be responsible for their own deeds, but I think that, as with almost everything, there's a logical reason behind that phenomena. If something, we should blame modern societies and the spoiled way most kids grow (and the kids themselves for being retards 95% of which won't help the world or its people improve in any way during their whole lifes). I don't think that can be eradicated; the only way I can think of is either making the game pay to play, in which case only the quantity would lower, the proportion would remain the same and the experience would still be terrible, either climbing to a high ELO as high ELO requires a player to be skilled and that requires to have consistency, sacrifice and a certain degree of thought complexity that most teenagers are unable to reach, but you will still find a lot of college retards capable of achieveing high skill but suffering from the same immature behavior (ever heard of Cris?). I'm sorry for the off-topic, you can count this as an extended form of QQ about the community
A dissertation on the societal influences driving observed online behavior is the only logical outcome of this thread. Make it happen, qtiehunter, make it happen.

Never play support or jungler, everything is always your fault.

Blue team, our fourth pick and fifth pick need to choose AD and support. Lastpick locks in Draven, but fourthpick takes garen and says "Im AD Tank". After he said that i immediately LoLKing'd him. 3 ranked games played, 1w/2l. Average KDA: 2.3/9.3/8.7. He had three games, one as ashe where he went 1-16-9, and two panth games that had 6 kills, 12 deaths and 17 assists between them.
Dodged at the last second. Dodged a fucking noobullet

I invested like 40 minutes into a queue time due to dodges and spam declines so when I got a team that all wanted to play Teemo I didn't want to dodge. Got into game and Graves afks at lvl 2 because his support took 2 cs.
G_G new system too strong.

karma afk 5 min into suicide mid over and over and over again on purpose beeline to enemy nexus
calls team kids

I love people that don't follow their own advice.
"Focus the Kog!" Fights Sona and Amumu. "Team so bad ffs"
trololo?
Edit:
I don't get how I could have a game where I go 5-0-1 as jungle Nunu, steal every one of Lee's buffs, shut down nearly every lane, and then we lose. It's just baffling.

On the QQ front: That 900 elo alistar guide, thats me right there on my first alistar jungle game. Was a normal, me and my 4 dudes (im 1500, they're 1200s and a guy with only like 120 normal games to him) ended up getting matched with a bunch of 16-1700s. lvl2 gank top, rumble flashes my headbutt, teammate flashes after him and feeds 1st blood to their countergank. Yep. Ok, base, gank mid. Teemo flashes my headbutt and i end up almost in their turret. guess who's there already, thats right, their jungler. Blue to mid, top 0-1, me lvl3 with no buffs or jungle to speak of as their jungle kayle took his time to take everything while i respawned and thought about wth i was supposed to do now after gloriously failing the first 6 minutes with god damn infallible easymode alistar jungle.

Can someone tell me why people think Teemo is a good ad carry? Maybe i'm completely wrong, but in my opinion its a fail pick. I had to dodge last game, because first pick insta locked Teemo "I'm going ad carry".
|
I would assume drugs have something to do with it. And MAYBE they won a lane once against someone with teemo, and now they conclude it is viable.

holy fuck this, i started playing ranked not long ago and quit almost immediately for a while because of this
teemo ad carry = the bane of my existence

Game client crashes at champion selection, then won't let me send an error report, then won't let me queue because of dodging. Come the fuck on

first warning should have been when he said that bot duos have no influence in the game.
Second warning was when he asked me what champ I was going to play mid when I told him I mostly just play support or top.
third warning should have been when he told me to never igniate (I have no clue what the fuck word this was suppose to be) with my ult I should only stun on annie with my q. and to stun them as soon as he hits his twisted advance.
He ganks as meowkai when I'm a wide distance away from the lux. Like not only far away but slowed by her spell and then expected to close the distance on a gank that does absolutely no damage and actually knocks away the lux with his push. then from his horrible early game of pure farm jungling until level 4 and then ganking with nothing more then a regrowth and no red he goes on to tell the rest of the team what to do. The darius gets it in his head somehow that when he pulls we shouldn't fight them because its just ment to "scare them". and then us fighting the enemy team when its 4v5 is really bad beacuse "they have baron we can't fight that we should stop trying to chase them and just teamfight them"
I can't even start about the draven nid bot lane. it makes so mad just thinking about the words to describe how worthless they were. like they're all running around throwing all their abilities and shit BUT THEY NEVER DO ANYTHING. the nids spears are all close range and has no money for ap so it does shit. draven is just one of the miss's for champ design but this draven took things to the next fucking level. He gets dived a ton by diana so he doesn't live much but thats just what happenes sometimes so I can forgive that. what I can't forgive is just his wild irrelevance at any other part of the game. he doesn't farm he doesn't really roam for ganks he just followed someone else all the time. he doesn't get red he doesn't really go for jungle farm much so he ends up with a really werid trifoce boots and a bf sword while the enemy ez has a triforce ga ie and a blood thirster and boots.
and then maowkai says "man we're really throwing these teamfights" I instantly die beacuse I have to facepalm so instantly I stop moving and they catch me. gg lol today gg.
