Its better off to just make PF to defend the important point, or combine them with less tank used. These big maps aren't good for Terran in general. For Maru to hold on for as long as he did is simply next level.

I am not saying he did a terrible job, but he could have done better imo. I remember Clem beating Serral on this map in DH Atlanta and what he did was just PF Tank Ghost and Mines turtling which worked.

Serral simply outmaneuver Maru, forcing his army moving around while leaving behind these expensive tanks that are complete defenseless without support.

It really seemed as if Serral was testing whether he can brute force a win against Maru in g3 and when he could not he proceeded to show how careful play is done in g4.

Most Zerg will trade at least 50% worse than Maru when they go to late game. You'd see unit lose difference to be something like 35k vs 53k. Serral is the only one that's capable of trading evenly with Maru in late game, and this is probably the best one he did. The difference was within 10% in the end.

I felt like he was sending a message in G3. Like "I know I lost this game already, but you will not get it easily. Come and earn the victory if you want it" Then he followed up with an absolutely clinical ZvT late game in G4 to show everyone how it's done.
