And Serral was equal the entire game which is also impossible. No shit he goes down eventually when he has to go in and break 3000 turrets and cloaked ghosts.

Nah, this map is so Zerg favored that terran is never expected to win. It shouldn't be in the pool. Combine that with infestors being impossible to see, and Serral getting at least 5 lucky fungals that dodged scans by one pixel Yeah Maru played better, that was one of the best terran performances probably ever

Maru got caught with like 10 supposedly "singlehandedly game ending" fungal but was still able to drag it all the way to the end. How does that make him a better player?

Plus it was a good game. Hopefully, Maru can build on it.

I mean... it was unlikely, but it could have ended in Serral not having an opportunity to kill every building, couldn't it? He had 11 Broodlords, more mineral income on the way and infinite transfuse energy. He would have had zero issue.

How is this "terran is never expected to win"?

Yes he defended like a god and yes he had no chance because of the map but that doesn’t mean he was the better player. What did Serral do worse?

It creates good drama, but it clearly look extremely race biased. You don't make this kind of map without being aware of what TvZ will look like on it.

How does that make him a better player? Because burrowed infestors fungals = bullshit So much easier to get them than to catch them and defend against them, the fact that Maru was able to make the game close while playing on this difficult map and against this stupid unit clearly shows he is better, like every single engagement that serral won was because of that, without that it would not even be close

People defend big maps because it's popular to shit on terran but these big open maps are even worse for protoss so it's a very lose-lose scenario to keep having them.
