He's been back for a year and he legitimately doesn't look any better now than he did a month or two into his return. Not what we would hope for from one of the all time great protoss players | ||

Classic did take a while but you saw a pretty consistent improvement up to him being a very good player again, maybe the best Toss at times when herO was slumping. Not as good as his vintage, but getting there. herO got good pretty quickly, and Gumiho got back to pretty much his old status after military, it can be done. Others seem to be content to float about, maybe have the odd run but don’t have that motivation to climb back up. TY or Stats post-military, Inno pre-military being some. And then you have a Trap who’s said he’s not even trying a comeback when he’s done his. | ||

I'm not the biggest Stats fan, I've been critical of his style for years, but the fact is in my eyes he's still managing to stay relevant (even if barely) in probably the most hostile meta the game has ever had towards him. Give him a friendly map pool and maybe some small balance adjustments and I think he can be back in the discussion real quick. But mostly its the map pool. Gotta get these big open maps out of the pool, give Stats some easier thirds to defend, maybe even bring back back pocket expos and I think he can make a return to prominence. | ||
