yea pretty much. i see byun and heromarine try using ghosts, it's just not the same...
and byun / heromarine style of parade bio push just doesn't work vs the top z's anymore. I mean sure maybe a game here or there but consistently it just gets fizzled out.

Maru is amazing but I don't think that's a fair comparison at all unless you compare Maru's lategame in a vacuum to Flash's overall play. Either way it's hard to compare a BW player to a SC2 player but that's my 2 cents.
I never said Maru was the Flash of SC2, just tried to convey that when he brings his A-game it somewhat reminds me of Flash's meticulously-planned style of play. But on the other hand you're doing Maru a little unfair here by limiting him to his lategame prowess when he's (historically speaking) probably the most versatile Terran in SC2 overall, maybe aside from Mvp.
I'm not trying to say that Maru's early- and midgame isn't amazing - because it certainly is. I did think you were comparing them in some way though so I might've misunderstood what you were trying to say. IF we were comparing them though, being incredible at the game is just not enough to for me to get those vibes - it would have to be uniquely astounding for me to get Flash-esque vibes.
Edit: And I do think Maru's lategame is astounding, which is why I think it's a comparison that could be made if you looked at Maru's lategame in a vacuum.
Thing is if you know both BW and SC2 a bit you quickly figure out that SC2 is the far more volatile game, so it's naturally harder to be as consistent as players could be in BW, which you then in turn can take into account when comparing (although I agree it just never really ends well).
But I certainly see where you're coming from, I'm not nearly as experienced in BW and thus probably cannot even truly appreciate Flash's greatness, but just seeing him beat players as random gives me kinda the right idea, I think.
The harsh truth for SC2 still is that we are unlikely to ever see someone standing so far above other progamers, but from time to time in a series Maru can give me this vibe of domination and that's just what I meant by saying that
I'm not sure if you're implying that I only know BW but I'm gonna assume you aren't. I've watched many hundred hours of both games and I think they tie for the 2 best spectator e-Sports of all time. And I can see where you're coming from, although as a diehard BW fan it's just ingrained in me to challenge any comparison to Flash. I mostly agree with what you wrote in this post though so I think we're not that far off from being on the same page.

It's also the worst thing to play against. I'd rather face herO's most-annoying-everything because at least it will end in a reasonable time.

Edited a few words for clarity.
Since you're posting in this thread I'm assuming you know SC2, of course :D

You can leave the game at any time if Maru's camping strats grind your gears. Let me remind you of the time that soO's PC crashed in a 50 minute game and he decided to give Maru the win and play the next map instead of bothering to resume play with his 10k bank.

Hence thats why Dark and Rogue keep Roach all-in Maru all the time, either they win or they lose, games will end in 15 minute.

Oh yeah it was the last game of the series as well. soO (who was in top shape back then) conceding the entire tournament by giving up there.
tbf his bank would be almost depleted if he remaxed again and that was the era when lategame TvZ was even more favored than it was now with Ravens. He really was completely dead
I think that just comes down to herO's shitty expansion setup. He had such long paths to defend his bases so Dark took the invitation to hit 3 bases at once. If that didn't happen all of a sudden Dark faces down 3/2 Protoss ground units.
