Explains why Reynor played poorly for his standard. He got COVID 2 weeks ago and playing with poor FPS since he's not using his main computer.

To be frank, it has been months since Reynor does not seem to play at his "standard", like when he lost to MarineLord.
I think we just assumed his peak (like Katowice 2021) is his standard but it probably is not, he probably does not practice as consistently as for example Serral to stay in top shape in every tournament. He will probably peak at Katowice once again so I am not worried
edit: I thought Reynor played pretty well overall, even though his style seems scrappy in the match-up. His splits vs widow mines were often insane / on point, and it's not a coincidence that HeroMarine almost beat Maru, he was on fire yesterday

It's not really that likely, Rogue may very well drop out of the group.

Definitely not an unexpected outcome.

Finally after 20 tournaments it worked out for you :D Youre too awesome pal !

Twenty, uh? What about Rogue dropping out of the groups at NEXT right before dominating TSL? That was two tournaments ago.

No comment on TSL8 thread? Thought that you may spur out some comments there🤭

Rogue wrecking Serral has become too much of a norm even for the likes of Xainon to argue so no point for me to be there, I just enjoyed the matches Everyone knows by now who is the best Zerg and levels above anyone else in ZvZ especially.

But its funny how Xainon is trolling the twitch chat before every KR vs Foreigner match saying beware beware I think the foreigner has a good chance!!! (well, yeah, everyone theoretically has a chance) and then feeling like a boss if 1 time out of 10 the foreigner actually wins... :D

Your delusion is immense, your statements false, the numbers you make up are senseless.

Not expecting Rogue to have a good chance to drop out early after losing the first match in a groupstage means that someone is too enamored of the fictional image of the unbeatable wrecker of worlds.
Even when Rogue is in a good/exceptional form, anyone can beat him when he rolls low; just stick to the facts and hold your GOAT claims for the next tournament in which the whims of fate will give us an unstoppable Rogue.

Even as someone who shares the opinion that Rogue is a VERY inconsistent player, I have to say your selective appearance in certain threads diminishes the objective quality of your arguments

Let me disagree.

I am not a writer, I am not supposed to be neutral; it should be clear to anyone at this point that I like Rogue the least out of the top Sc2 players.

How objective my statements are, however, should be judged based on how verifiable and corresponding to real facts and trends they are, not on when I decide to express them; I don't see why I should join certain threads to support enthusiastic choirs of opinions that I do not share.

that's a bit like avilo making a legitimate balance complaint. Maybe this time what you said was reasonable but your track record of constantly diminishing the achievements of the top koreans lets us see your statements in a different light.

Hilarious.

If we define reasonable as suffragated by facts, statistics and overall openly verifiable statements there are very few posts I made on this forum, if any, that are not.

As for "constant track of diminishing the achievements of the top koreans", this means not agreeing with the (subjective) importance some people, like you, attribute to certain trophies or pointing out that certain players are overhyped when there is no relevant evidence supporting the claim.
Do you know what really diminishing an achievement is? Outright calling HSC or GSL vs the World joke tournaments or pretending koreans are always and necessarily the side hindered by timezone or jet lag.

That was painful to watch as a terran, for sure.

Though Maxpax control of this disru-carrier-stalker compo is impressive. I think Clem should have left some forces to force the retreat or full-on base trade. Maxpax compo can only work if all units are together.

Come on, he was outplayed 90% of the game and could only start playing properly with a giant deathball on one screen at a time.

Have you like ever played Protoss? Even after all the changes the race is about deathballing, it's like complaining the water is wet

No, I didn't; I never even said once that Serral is the GOAT, despite what people here are deeply convinced of.
You guys instead started trying to discredit Serral as soon as he started winning almost four years ago, before the most zealous of his fans dared hoping he could be world champion, let alone be called GOAT.

You and people like you marked the people who "disagreed" with Serral being GOAT as haters, so enjoy your own medicine.

Not all of us. I was saying before BlizzCon 2018 that Serral was the best zerg in the world at the time / better than Dark and Rogue notably. I remember people thinking I was trolling with that statement, but Serral was still regarded as a very strong zerg by most people here

Amazing Play by MaxPax, just great zoneing there

Come on, he was outplayed 90% of the game and could only start playing properly with a giant deathball on one screen at a time.

Have you like ever played Protoss? Even after all the changes the race is about deathballing, it's like complaining the water is wet

I actually did to push into diamond before the release of the master league, felt it was my last chance to get into the top division ever.
