The noun is ward. Stasis is describing the ward. It's a stasis ward. Removing the noun from the object makes it hard to make it work as a noun. Stasises is the way I would write it, just like how octopus is octopuses in plural form. Side track: I know the Latin way to say octopus in plural is octopi, but octopus isn't stemming from Latin. There is no point in using Latin grammar on a non Latin word when you are speaking English. There's no point in using Latin grammar when speaking English, period. Colossus in plural is colossuses, according to English grammar. | ||
