Format

Players are divided in two tiers:
Tier 1: 4 players from Qualifier, Day 1 and 4 players winning Qualifier, Day 2 brackets.
Tier 2: second and third places from Qualifier, Day 2 brackets.
Eight 1v1 (Tier 1 vs. Tier 2) Bo5 Matches.
The 8 winners are qualified to Code S.

I've had a long day at a new job (yay me) and I have to be up early to open back up (yay me /s) but I hope to be able to see at least some of these games tonight. In case I crash out before I can see them here is what I think will happen. sOs over Hurricane 3-1. Dark over Armani 3-1, Cure over Ragnarok 3-2

I'm least confident about sOs vs Hurricane. sOs is such a fucking wild card and so is Hurricane but for different reasons. I really can't have any idea how this match is going to go, however sOs has been playing well lately and in a match between two wild cards I'll take sOs to handle the chaos better.

this cure 3rax is so weird, he used it against reynor aswell, really interesting

e: haha what a game, I feel like cure mismicroed that quite a bit tho, that 1 hp lair tilted me from across the globe

I am still in shock, Cure had many opportunities to win but not only did he fail to kill the hatch by an inch, didn’t come back for it, suicided his scvs for no good reason while microing quite badly... this is not code S level for sure.

I don't know man. Cure looked like beast for awhile in online tourneys, but it seemed like he did not carry that kind of mentality in GSL.

Cure getting another dissapointed result asides, Ragnarok did play very well today. He did not get any heavy damage from early push, and his lingbane micro was almost perfect. Maybe he was watching the NeXT games and prepare accordingly to some of Cure opening for the today match.

Ragnarok is a weird player, he often plays fantastic games, especially ZvTs, but never really makes a good run.

Ragnarok is pretty inconsistent in his ZvT, actually beat Innovation in the previous qualifier upper bracket, only lost back to him in the Grand Final

I had not considered the fact that this series would be played offline when I picked Cure to win. My mistake. I should know better. Cure's been having such a good year otherwise that I completely forgot about his main weakness.
