Solar took control of the game on both of his map wins, at that point Maru is forced to defend forever and can only hope to trade better. I'm more surprised by Maru's lack of transition in game 3. No ghosts, No libs, no armory upgrades... At least game 1 he gave himself a chance with his ghost play. Widow mines don't cut it vs ultras

Widow mines don't cut it vs ultras I knew game 3 was over when he lifted his main instead of taking a fourth normally. Insanely hard to secure bases on Ever Dream though, no way you can turtle on that map.

Because I really did not see any mistakes from Maru in this last game it just looked impossible to win when leaving the Zerg economy intact. I mean you basically can't move out because of Mutas so even doing damage is borderline impossible without some early cheesy builds. And then you just get screwed while your whole army is fighting 1000 banes Mutas just wreck the economy. And this is Maru we are talking about, best TvZ player against a solid but not that great Zerg who was always a walkover for Maru. This meta is super tough...

But when ultra shows up you need either ghost, libs or both in my opinion. Libs are super good to defend bases. Then it becomes a trading game where zerg's attack become less efficient over time, and when they start running out of bases, you can usually push and win. It's just super hard.
