Call me crazy but if I was part of the shadowy ‘SC2 bracket rigging’ cabal I’d try better to rig them for viewers and hype than do the opposite.
Almost makes me think they’re not actually rigged or something.

To be fair we also had a good long conversation, dont see her often anymore let's not beat around the bush: how was here cooking? Good! I feel like ever since the kids were out the house she started enjoying cooking cause it's not something she absolutely has to do anymore. And she asks for my input so that helps Well it's good you had some wholesome quality time with your mother but I'm not gonna lie; You missed quite the group of starcraft today. If you can take terrans failing at the very end. Oh well it happens. Tomorrow i have brunch with my triathlon team and a little get-together at my friend's new flat in the evening so wont be able to catch everything either

Finals is Dank vs Inno or Serral imo

It's a shitty bracket tbh, not just because of players but also because of races.

Game 1 was a donation for sure (0 scouting, aware of the protoss push only once it reaches the creep...) but still, it's so odd.

That's a fallacy really. You wouldn't intentionally rig a tournament to have so many mirrors. Whereas tournaments in Korea seem supernaturally good at spreading the players out (possibly due to seeding being determined by mysterious point systems).

At the same time, Serral losing to Hurricane is absolute shenanigans. You are correect. The very generic way of describing the h2h here eluded me. Sure, it's about preference but when there is just 2 players in a tie, the h2h should have more value IMO.

Aside for the mirror (which no one really likes), why do people think it's rigged ?

It was so boring I barely remember who played it

Extra mad that these two tosses tossed their way into ruining perfect Ro12 balance
Easy there, 2 terrans is already pushing it for IEM standards.

Can someone tell me what happened in sOs vs Cure game 3, I had to rush to the store before they closed and missed it :/ Cant believe both terrans out. My T tears are flowing freely
|
People who think it's rigged don't realize that they split the players up so that 2nd-3rd finishers cannot face eachother in the RO12. There is only limited combinations you can get after that.

I can understand a preference for head to head, I just don’t personally like it in this format. Would definitely have it as a tie-breaker if the above is equal.
To me it’s a round robin and you’re testing your skills against the whole group, various races etc. So I think how you do overall should trump head-to-head.

Because Serral keep winning, but Koreans are better at everything, they are jet lag, he keep getting lucky, the commentators are biais, his win aren't really impressive and he keep missing the insanely good koreans that would surely crush him if the bracket was done right
