Nonsensical as it is to have the Koreans in the non-Korean standings since they can only get a handful of points.

It s somewhere in the Rulebooks. So in theory it should be possible for a Korean to qualify over the foreigner standing only with open Cups + IEM Kato + IEM China and Vice versa

Can he pick and chose which one he take? Like if Reynor play in GSL can he use his IEM point in both the circuit and the GSL standing and decide which seed he prefer when the world final comes around? Because that doesn't sound right.

What in the fuck happened after their TvT Well Serral lost to Hurricane inexplicably so when he beat TY 2-0 (which was admittedly in due part TY's own fault because he really messed up game 2) it eliminated TY. And Cure was in a bad way after losing to TY since he still had to play sOs who has and had his number. For TY it literally comes down to one map with 7-6 being arbitrarily considered better than 6-5.

Ya but still the global and cup point counting in both is kind of lame, if foreigners can play in both they should at least need to have to commit their point to one circuit above the other, like it is their global point literately are counting double, it make it so much easier to qualify for the world championship. Although I guess it was the same last year, I just didn't realize.

Well at least xainon will stop screaming that terran is so fine and stuff, but still super sad to see these two top players lose like that Quitte happy we get to see ShoWTimE and Serral as the last foreigner hopes though, will be interesting tomorrow

I would understand if you were to complain now, their elimination was unfortunate. On a side note, it's Reynor eliminating Serral(three times), not other Zerg(only soO did so once).

Although I guess it was the same last year, I just didn't realize. "So much easier to qualify". Lol? Most players are very happy to qualify from one region, but you're complaining that if they were to qualify from two regions that would just be so unfair for the seeding, because they could pick their higher seed, and the global points count double. But in actual fact they don't. He can still only compete once at Blizzcon. Not like he gets both seeds. So effectively his "double" points do only count once: for the highest seed. And if any player qualifies in both regions I'd say his absolutely crazy outstanding performance should be rewarded by allowing him to pick the highest seed at the end (and thus in which region he applied his global points) at the end of the season rather than requiring players to choose that at the beginning. E: and yes, I am assuming they get assigned their highest seed automatically, but even if they get full choice over which seed to use (and thus which players get to "move up" behind them), it'd still be totally fine.

In group c. the two terrans can get 2 wins from zergs, in group d, they cannot win against Serral so both TY and Cure have 1 less win and get eliminated. Top T has no chance to win against top P. Seems they can’t win against top Z either then, and Serral isn’t even the top dog in the matchup. Good news for terrans fans is that the first Terran match is played first, and the last Terran match is played last, so we’ll have Terran action covering the entire day in a way. I’m glad Hurricane beat Serral though, too bad it was at the expense of TY. It means that the top bracket isn’t that free and maybe he’ll also be challenged in bo5+ elimination stage (I doubt it tho). INno is in great form overall so he might beat him if he manages to beat ShoWTimE, but Elazer ain’t Serral so idk...
