If they did best of 99 (the only real format), I think terran has it on lockdown

I guess it was his turn to get out because of that after defeating Dark in the same fashion, but I'm super disappointed.

Also, people keep ignoring Elazer or comparing him to weak players but in the end his performance was pretty much like Solar's. You guys will never learn and will act surprised when Elazer upsets another fan favourite.

Or maybe you should stop over-hyping a player who had 1 good result in the last 3 years, while getting constantly crushed by the better Koreans everywhere else. He is 25-49 in offline BO3+ matches against Korea, but almost all of his wins come from beating players like True, Leenock, Top... He is super duper mediocre.

But I understand the results of the foreign-land so far are making you mad so you need to kick around you a bit

Overhyping? Recently he defeated stronger koreans, don't you think? Elazer has no hope against korean Terrans, but he can beat good koreans in ZvP and ZvZ.
Thus said, no one should consider Elazer a favourite, he is not even a top5 WCS player actually, but he is absolutely not "super duper mediocre" as you think he is.

Not counting this IEM, from his last 20 matches against Korea he beat: MMA (retired player), Creator and Trust (irrelevant players), Bunny, Solarx2 (3:2 every time) and 1 lucky win against Dark. If this is not a definition of mediocrity with a lucky scrappy win here and there then I dont know what is.

Seeing you two back at it bring back so much memories

And it's about Elazer, this time. You are free to believe he's a mediocre player, I'll call you out the next time he pulls out some interesting upset; Elazer's victory against Dark was not lucky, he outplayed him in lategame ZvZ.

You actually think that glorified showmatch known as GSL vs the World actually means anything. That's the part that you get wrong.

The GSL players OBVIOUSLY don't take those games seriously. That was true of the first tournament and of the second one also. Dark was just coming off of his Code S win and was going to get paid just for showing up to the vs the World. Do you think he actually came prepared or practiced?

Elazer came in hungry and took the games seriously and Dark didn't.

Want to see what happens when Dark wants it? Blizzcon happens. What happened at Blizzcon? Oh right, Dark embarassed the hell out of the EU Zergs, it wasn't even remotely close.

So just offline ladder? Serral has already won that from his home

stakes make the competition (imaginary or real)

This is the perfect moment to demand a new TSL with ladder qualifiers.

I'll take it at either Starcraft, tyvm.

I guess in a 128 player tournament in Bo99 format, we could reach the day that lockdown is added back in.

A person that only looks at the pure winrate is really not in the position to discuss the match up. Maru winning over Elazer gives absolutely no input to a valid balance discussion. Neither would me losing to Elazer give any value.

In theory I could see a tournament with 90% winrate for Terran coming from 2 or 3 raxing yet I wouldnt say the match up is "alright".

I am not disagreeing but when you said it has ZERO value, you're implying the difference between you and Elazer is the same between Elazer and Maru. It's a bit disrespectful.

I agree, its not exactly the same. It holds some value but certainly the relevance it holds to a balance discussion is worse than players on even terms.

Fair enough.
That said, I am bit perplexed like Serral in his interview, I don't understand why T are playing that much bio while the thors has been buffed and its counters nerf, I mean, on paper, it should be viable no ?

Bio is much easier to win with if you are the better player.
