Dark is a no-brainer pick, obviously, but second place will be tight between sOs and Ragnarok. While I'm a huge sOs fan, my head says Ragnarok--I think this is the GSL where he finally gets past his mental blog and we'll see him shine!

Nothing indicates to me that Rag has fixed his ZvP so I went with Dark/sOs.

I know I am not picking someone who got 3-0d by Nice to beat sOs twice

Wouldn't be the first time a GSL winner goes out in group stage, so it's not a given Dark makes it. But yes, this group is doable. Only way I see Dark going out is if he loses to Ragnarok and sOs has a godly day. I would like it if Bomber was good enough to compete, but I can only see him win against sOs if sOs plays terrible like he sometimes does.
Ragnarok & Dark are my picks.

I'm worried for sOs, Ragnarok has had a better year than him. Here's to hoping he inexplicably 4-0's the group with the most outrageous builds taken from the Great Book of Protoss Bullshit. My GSL fanfic has him taking the rich vespene as a ninja base into double storm drops.

Too bad maps no longer have space for him to double proxy gate in their base twice in a row.

It is hard to imagine Dark couldn't advance. But, who knows there is a curse of being the GSL champion.
|
I dno who advances, but I do know who macros.
Bomb-ber. Pog!
|
I hope Bomber plays well! I think I need to wake up for this
|
sOs could easily snipe dark in the winners match and then dark could be under threat from ragnarok in a zvz decider. I'd probably go with dark and sOs advancing but ragnarok could easily replace either player.
|
Dark should take this quite easily. After Dark, I'm really rooting for Bomber to advance. Great to see him back, as he was one of my favorite players, when i started following SC2.
|
I don't know how Bomber looks these days but he did qualify. This is a mighty tough group for him. I'd say Dark is a heavy favorite to get out first with Ragnarok and sOs being roughly equal for second. Bomber is just an unknown for me right now. If he's back in prime shape though? this could be a mighty interesting night of GSL.

Bomber is still my favourite SC2 player of all time. i really hope he can do some stuff.
luckily i'm in home office today

NesTea Award in 2019 is like a participation award for competent progamers.
