This is sloppy as fuck from both sides.

Why not taking the 3rd that's on the high ground in PvT? I find it more safe, what am I missing?

tastetosis are so out of it today
they thought trust was gonna get crushed by marine marauder tank (and no widow mines) when he had chargelots out the ass?
gumiho needed to bring some widow mines with his first push

New Repugnance has a very congested center area that is really good for terran positions/ tank pushes
if u take the high ground 3rd in PvT (or even ZvT as I've seen a lot of zerg pros dont take the 3rd there either), then the protoss/zerg is really susceptible to these pushes and it's difficult to break out if terran establishes that position

Zest v Gumi in the loser bracket oO

dude, trust played so bad that second game vs gumiho, lost a prism with 4 templars after an insane supply block and still won handily, I take it back the kind words I said about Patience yesterday, this matchup is hopeless.

gumiho played awfully also
not bringing widow mines to the push at that point of the game is beyond moronic since chargelots counter that amount of marines and tanks
|
Based on the average comment on TvP, I guess slumpy zest would easily roll god-tier gumiho 2-0
|
let's see how much these 2 have improved upon since their last matches

the bane of zest's existence (other than his floating) is mindless agression, this map has a huge rush distance and lots of avenues to flank a vulnerable mech army, but Zest just cant stop himself from being the aggressor every game

Ya he should stop trying to play like Patience, that style is clearly above his skill set, he would be better emulating some lesser protoss like Stats

gumi was outplaying trust overall, but you cant outplay such an upgrade advantage, he should've commited to that second push before 2/2, his army supply was like 25 higher too

See the thing is Stats' PvP may actually be the best of any Protoss right now which is likely to be a big deal considering.

I don't think we can make predictions on the ultimate outcome of this Code S season yet, there are still almost two months before it ends.
I meant Classic might win this Code S out of consistency and he is rightfully regarded as #1 atm but at least both Stats and Gumiho(and Maru, obviously, but he is already out) looked more brilliant than him recently, I would not say he looks by far the best.

Gumi outclassed Stats 3-0 in the latest big tournament and in the finals Classic crushed Gumi 4-1. I was wondering what weird players you would pick out of your hat and claim they look better than Classic and you choose the two that are clearly below him.
You also contradict yourself by saying "he not looking like the best" and then turning around and saying that he is rightfully regarded as #1..... Just what, is rightfully regarded as the best right now or not, make up your mind.

Have you looked at the games? I'll explain myself more clearly: they were both playing at one higher level than Classic(Gumiho threw horrendously in the finals, Stats was simply impressive in his series against Maru, the best in the whole tournament), who is in turn more consistent to a point we can safely give him #1 spot; if you ask me, Dark looked better than Classic in the semifinal he lost.

I seriously doubt that we'll get more than 4 in the Ro16. Cure and TY are the only two that I think have a chance of getting out of their groups, and in Cure's case I still would bet on Dark and Parting getting out of that one with how parting looked at Super Tournament.
Keen, Fantasy, Special and aLive just got screwed. Those are REALLY fucking hard groups.
