His defensive setup was trash in addition to not having the upgrades he needed. 4-5 tanks with +1 and 6 fewer widows mines would have been a way better outcome with his setup.

I don't think you realize just how bad tanks are vs zerg armies that are not relying entirely on banes connecting.

Nothing to challenge the Corruptors taking out the Liberators and not enough tanks to take advantage of the spread setup. So it got broken by an effectively even-in-upgrades Solar with a better unit comp and lower investment into upgrades ---> more units over the last few minutes of the game. The upgrade advantage wasn't large, but it was still there. Even at best, they were even on upgrades and Solar still just runs into a fortified terran base. It made no sense to me personally. Like, if Zerg catches terran unsieged or moving out in the open or has a triple flank then it makes sense that terran dies, but to see terran die when the game seems about even and he's just totally turtled up. The only explanation I can see is the casters curse being stronger, as demuslim just mentioned that "it's so hard to break terrans that play like this" seconds before Solar amoved to break TY.
