I dare to guess it went like this: Stats knows sOs shall (or might, rather) attack, so he used all 8 gates for production. That means no real ability to probe further or consider 3rd until sOs attacks. When sOs arrived, he realized that he can just end the game there so no point to waste resources on third still.

It's kinda nice in Australia this morning. Wake up, make some bacon and eggs, watch some starcraft 2 BlizzCon finals. Good start to the day.

With LotV games being quite shorter compared to WoL/HotS I thought tournaments would increase the number of games. In the end Bo5 are not that long in LotV. Bo7 in BlizzCon semifinals would not be farfetched.

only for people not very good at the game that believed sOs was playing superbly, Maru legit played like a 5k mmr on NA, it was that bad.

In the end, Stats is a solid player with safer disposition, while sOs takes risks and lacks execution to secure them. 3-0 yo.
