What is interesting on watching it? Playing it is OK, but watching??? While watching SC2 is so nice and only 20k watch it? I understand it with CS GO. I don't understand it with LoL/DotA at all... It's all about building a fanbase which is in love with teams/players. Even if the game gets worse/boring, a lot of people will still watch. Sc2 was always kinda bad at that (creating a following behind players) You say that but I'm watching cs because its legit more interesting than the sc2 right now. And there's much less hassle with imbalanced races making it almost all skill dependant. lol sc2 is as balanced as it gets. Not really. Cs involves 2 teams with almost the same resources, and then they swap halves each map to ensure nothing broken can happen. sc2 has had many stages of imbalance across all races Sure maybe sc2 may not be 100% perfectly balanced. But people make the balance of sc2 appear to be much more of a problem than it is. It really is a non-issue when talking about the popularity of the game. In terms of esports it is an issue though. With csgo anything clearly broken doesn't effect results and both teams get the same stuff. In sc2 if one race is OP we get mass mirror matchups and awful games should players choose the broken strat. who likes watching blink or adept allins when they killed 90% of terran for example? Mass mirror matchups happens not because of balance, it happens because of the player pool & brackets. Balance is also not a decider at all considering view counts. Moba heroes are imbalanced as hell, same vetoes & picks between 20 characters every single game but people still watches it. I played all three mobas & cs:go in the past, never liked watching it. I think they're all extremely boring. I don't know if there is any other game which is more fun to watch than Sc.

These things where all balanced. Blizzard nerfing and buffing things makes no change cuz everything is always balanced im sure all of these have been the things keeping you from winning games below 6k mmr I never said they effected me personally. We're talking esports. They effected most pro matches at their imbalance peak And btw the race switching thing if you think something is good. I switched from T to P when LoTV came out because I thought adapts were broken lol even at the pro level balance is overrated. Every time someone wins with adepts people say imba imba but the statistics say that the matchup is fine. In the end the better player wins most of the time. The only times when balance was a serious problem was early wol terran, BL/Infestor and Blink era. Statistically, the worst era was TvP earlier this year at almost 60-40 in favor of terran though. I'd say that was a "serious balance problem"

Why keep people talking about "balance", you are right it is basically a nonissue. What is an actual issue is if the design is actually fun/interesting. Unit interactions are important. It might be "balanced" but that doesn't matter if people think it is not enjoyable. We talked about csgo for example, what is so nice about coutnerstrike? A big + is that the economy + round structure functions in a way that there is minimal snowballing. So there are lots and lots of ways to come back into a game if you are the better team at that day. Lots of other things to talk about, but probably doesn't belong here. Serral is pretty good
