It's all about building a fanbase which is in love with teams/players. Even if the game gets worse/boring, a lot of people will still watch. Sc2 was always kinda bad at that (creating a following behind players) You say that but I'm watching cs because its legit more interesting than the sc2 right now. And there's much less hassle with imbalanced races making it almost all skill dependant. I am simply saying that in general you want to create attachment to players/teams so the actual gameplay doesn't even matter at some point. That's imo the natural thing which happens, you can see it in sports as well. People want to cheer for their favorites, but you first need to create that fan relationship somehow. Other players/teams in other esports did it better than the players/teams/blizzard/tournament organizers in sc2. EG was great at it with their videos, streaming, but that was a long time ago. Ofc there are other factors as well, i already said that imo counterstrike has the "best" (aka most exciting, easy to understand) core gameplay. Serral wins this tournament, huh?

I don't see enough Europeans getting angry that Americans are claiming the Korea-trained Neeb as their own. Guys, please do this 'rivalry' right so we can enjoy it

Fun fact : people balance whine even against random to be fair the fact that the race the randomer gets is not announced ingame is just OP
To be honest I lost one to a random player who told me at the start of the game he was T, I didn't wall of and he speed ling rush me, so op

Cs involves 2 teams with almost the same resources, and then they swap halves each map to ensure nothing broken can happen. sc2 has had many stages of imbalance across all races Sure maybe sc2 may not be 100% perfectly balanced. But people make the balance of sc2 appear to be much more of a problem than it is because they want to blame their losses on it. It really is a non-issue when talking about the popularity of the game.

Why don't we just have people switch races and play another series to avoid any imbalance?

Yh yh BL/infestor, blink allins, hellbat pushes, reaper rushes, adept allins. These things where all balanced. Blizzard nerfing and buffing things makes no change cuz everything is always balanced

Sure, people think it is balance related when it's simply a design/fun issue most of the time. But let's talk about this beautiful matchup that is zvz

But 99% of the balance-whine is just a result of players wanting something to blame their losses on. Statistically the balance of the game has always been damn good (Maybe outside of a couple periods like the blink era)

In terms of esports it is an issue though. With csgo anything clearly broken doesn't effect results and both teams get the same stuff. In sc2 if one race is OP we get mass mirror matchups and awful games should players choose the broken strat.
who likes watching blink or adept allins when they killed 90% of terran for example?

This can lead to potentially .... veeeeeery long series. A better tweak: Bo3, each player plays a different race each game, players submit blindly their race sequence beforehand (as in sending players in PL).
