Secondly, Nerchio likes to tell (jokingly or not) how ahead in meta foreign zergs are. His brought his strats to Korea and got rekt. Git gut, Nerchio, you're no Stephano.
Thirdly, Nerchio and some other vocal part of foreigners like to tell that in LotV they got so much better that they're ready to compete with Koreans. Yeah, the gap is closing, but that's because Koreans are getting worse. I'm happy for the guys like Dark, Solat and ByuN who break through but could they be able to do this if there was any new talent in Korean scene?
There is no Terran in Foreignerland who can drop and micro like Maru. We're watching the last days of SC2 greatness and these guys are dancing on its grave because they can finally milk money out of the game. Soon enough this place will be like BW forums, where the guys are just happy someone is still playing their favorite game despite level of play being a mere shadow of the glory days. I don't need no Nerchio shoving it in my face to see it.
To hell with him and go Neeb.
Aw man, did Nerchio take your lunch money or something?

I agree with everything, glad SC2 fanboys finally started to accept death of the scene. But 1 thing: BW was/is/will never be dead! "where the guys are just happy someone is still playing their favorite game despite level of play being a mere shadow of the glory days" - what the hell are you talking about? Look at stream line, everyone is playing BW and level of competition is even more competetive. Even Flash got rekt 3-0 at ro8, means players got better.

Or it just means Flash is extremely rusty or not as dedicated anymore

Fanta was already overtaking Flash when old BW died, so no, current Flash would not still be the greatest player. And him reaching ro8 would be akin to MVP reaching ro8 in current SC2 - a sign of weakness, not strength.

You don't know that. You're basing your opinion off a purely hypothetical assumption, that Flash's skill would keep deteriorating whilst Fantasy's soaring higher and higher. Likewise, comparing today's skill level of Koreans vs the average level of a Korean pro during the KeSPA era is pointless. The metagame shifts, some players adjust accordingly, some don't stay consistent.

Wow, you have a graph where Fantasy is higher than Flash for like half a month. Well done, that is sufficient data to unanimously state that Flash would have fallen off and Fantasy would have dominated the scene. You can't predict events like that.

No, I see a graph which tells the same story: a player rises, reaches plateau and unavoidably declines. Flash had risen the highest of all, but his downfall was already going. I don't care whether Fantasy would go on to dominate or would crash faster than Flash - I care that in 2012 Flash was already past his peak. And now is year 2016.
Well would you look at that. 2/3 foreigners got dropped right in the group stage.. Even with less money, a completely neutered scene, Koreans still beat up on them. Shocking.

Yes the only question would be if he would have won the GSL only once or twice during that time

Nerchio was quite close to qualifying. Marinelord is good, I don't question that, but he isn't one of the top foreigners, I guess he was on fire during the double elimination bracket which was the qualifying for the Europeans. Snute could have done better with his ZvP in this tournament.
Moreover, many players, like Byun and Solar, who should have advanced dropped at this stage, and I don't think someone is questioning their abilities even though the predictions were that they will finish first at their groups.
