That's simply not true. You don't need these way better players dropped into your scene to improve it. A scene has to start somewhere and if there are enough players in that scene willing to compete and motivated to get better than the whole scene will get better in the long run.

You will always have better and worse players in a scene and as long as the worse players are motivated to catch up the whole scene will get better. Koreans are the fastest at improving, but catching up is definitely a lot easier when somebody can show you how to play. You don't let phelps swim vs 6 year old children and expect from them to be motivated to beat him. You let them compete vs each other where the competition is actually fair. Yes i compared foreigners to 6 year olds Phelps is never going to come here. He still wins against the best, he doesn't need to go to the 6-year-olds pool. Except I prefer watching players I care about. Matches are better when I actually care about who wins. Since I watch mostly Koreans I know those players better. So it's certainly better with 7 players I care about than 4 (I'm not saying there are no foreigners I like, but there are certainly more Koreans I care about). And the Korean tournaments are not on times where I can watch them live. So no Koreans at weekend tournaments means there are fewer players I care about.

In that case you should also be sad that the pre2015 Koreans were banned, cause you had even more than 7 back then. Again, the problem isn't wanting more Koreans, the problem is wanting 7 koreans instead of 4 and being really devastated that this number changed in such a meaningless fashion.

Numbers-wise blink stalkers skewed PvT balance pretty badly, and adepts haven't done that yet, though you could argue that they are being offset by things like liberators.
