From a viewer perspective, I do find Terrans annoying with their 'gimmicks' - reaper bombs, liberators, tankevacs, and even widow mines. They probably look cool to most people, though. I just find it too punishing and painful to watch.

I agree with this. TvT probably had the highest highs, but the average game wasn't that interesting. During GOMTvT you had awesome positional games from time to time, but most of the time it was just two siege lines facing off while vikings tried to get air control.

I also loved that era, SH's made for really exciting games in ZvP, but Blizzard decided to remove an unit because of a couple European Zergs playing a particular style rip but yeah, I think LotV ZvP is still better, it's really good with how the mid game plays out SH nerf was necessary because it delayed tournaments too much.

I think HotS TvP is the best version of TvP, but I think all 3 variants of TvP have their own problems.
TvZ was best in 2011, i liked HotS TvZ too, I hate LotV TvZ

I mean there were definitely games that had swarmhosts that were interesting. it was dependent on how the player used them. I can't think of good ZvZs with them though. those were just hilariously awful

Is it even possible to play Terran mid-game without medevacs? It complements both bio and mech play too well.

really? I hated nothing more than HotS TvP. either it was scv pull or maru style mass drops playing cat and mouse with their army. the only time it was good was bio vs chargelot archon ht.
