When they don't have range you can outmaneuver them just fine. Also if they don't have range you can zone the ground units away with colossi (like Stork did in Code A). With range they get pretty ridiculous though.

What you definitely shouldn't do is go full Classic and engage under 4 liberators in the middle of the map~
