Right before Starcraft League gets going, Douyu TV has assembled its best SC streamers to present a special edition of showmatches. For those who will be in Shanghai, you may follow the instruction in the Chinese post. For those who want to watch online, you can go to the stream of either Xiaose (http://www.douyutv.com/3484) or Cloudy (http://www.douyutv.com/6166). For those who are not familiar with Douyu yet, this guide will be helpful.
However, this tournment will have LOSERS advance, that is, we will now have a chance determine who is the chickenest Chinese player after 7 simple Best of 1. What can be more exciting to see the birth of King of Chicken in China? Bring on your friends at 8pm (GMT+8) China Time!
Bracket: User:Thickertom/The King of Chicken The photo from left to right: iG.Cloudy, XTeam.F91, XTeam.Xiaose, Bheart.Jieshi (Mystery), iG.XY, iG.MacSed, Bheart.Cyan and iG.XiGua.

This looks awesome. The player description in the original page are pretty funny too. Too bad my Chinese scene knowledge is too little to do a translation that gives it justice.
I thought Donald Trump had sponsored a contest to see which Chinese guy looked the most like a chicken when I read the title. That is something I'd watch. This is far less exciting.
In Chinese, the word "chicken 鸡" can also mean noob, bad, weak, terrible and stupid. The "winner" of this tournament (actually the loser of the final) will be granted the title "the king of chicken", which means "the worst sc2 player". He also has to announce in public “I am just a chicken.", which means "I am a weak noob player."

Too many memes inside so I am not sure it can be translated.
I did this once with a group of friends to find out who the worst Smash players was. It was double-elim where winning sent you to the winner's bracket, and winning in the winner's bracket eliminated you. Everybody indeed tried their hardest to win because there was a lot of shame on the line.
The pre-show stream filled with trash-talk is already entertaining as hell This is going to be a good night EDIT: Also since when iG.XY looks so handsome lol
Newest message: iG.XiGua is absent. In theory, should he be the winner? It is said that Team LeiFeng.CaptainAM (TJmaiking, 同济麦老爷(Master Mai in Tongji University, his main ID before he is a graduate)) will replace XiGua.
Why not have 2 separate brackets, one where winner advances and one where the loser advances. Both the best and the worst get a prize. The best gets more then the worst, but if the worst manages to beat the best in a final match then they switch prize money. That would be one funny tournament. Imagine it in HSC style.

It's a good idea. Though I don;t think this tournament even has a prize money It's more like SC2 personalities and fans around Shanghai gather around in a PC bang to have some fun.
