Forcefield is the problem with forcefields.
Swarm Host is the problem with Swarm Hosts.

There are other ways to balance the problems the lack of those tools would cause. But it's not like blizzard said "we need forcefields to stop stim pushes", they just yolo'd that stuff in and balanced the game with the bullshit existing instead of balancing it differently, so it eventually became essential bullshit.
But those are not "the reasons" why the bullshit was created in the first place.

Overcharge is fine. Whining about it in 2015 is pointless, and it still has a lot of room for micro potential in mid game.
I'm of the opinion we should keep on complaining about it if we want shit to ever change. Overcharge and Recall are stupid mechanics, so is Forcefield in it's current implementation.

What are you talking about, Blizzard fixed how hard offensive forcefielding a ramp was to execute as Protoss and gave MSC Recall to get out in case of trouble!

Structures can die, Protoss needs forcefield in PvP and vs Zerg rushes.

Protoss design is the problem, and somehow, Forcefield is the answer. And Recall. Overcharge. ugh...


Overcharge is fine. Whining about it in 2015 is pointless, and it still has a lot of room for micro potential in mid game.
I'm of the opinion we should keep on complaining about it if we want shit to ever change. Overcharge and Recall are stupid mechanics, so is Forcefield in it's current implementation.


overcharge just prevent some stupid shit in the early game and i'm fine with that. You can still all in through it or just put some more interesting pressure than a moving a bunch of marines. It saved PvP from the horror that was WoL PvP.
The fact you dislike it doesn't mean it's not good for the game. And stop expecting a whole redesign of P it's not gonna happen.
