There are other ways to balance the problems the lack of those tools would cause. But it's not like blizzard said "we need forcefields to stop stim pushes", they just yolo'd that stuff in and balanced the game with the bullshit existing instead of balancing it differently, so it eventually became essential bullshit. But those are not "the reasons" why the bullshit was created in the first place.

overcharge just prevent some stupid shit in the early game and i'm fine with that. You can still all in through it or just put some more interesting pressure than a moving a bunch of marines. It saved PvP from the horror that was WoL PvP. The fact you dislike it doesn't mean it's not good for the game. And stop expecting a whole redesign of P it's not gonna happen.
