FF exists directly in response to WG. If toss can spawn units anywhere on the map, the units have to be weak enough that you can't just 4-gate with a proxy pylon and win. If they're weak, they need a way to split fights up or delay until they have more units.


Completely agree. Thats why the WG change in LotV is so genius. I'm not sold on the Forcefield change yet, but I've got a feeling that at it is a solid basis to work with.

and they give Protoss the ability to play without deathballs. Protoss will die first like crazy, Blizzard will buff em, they finally adapt and it will be book of Protoss vol.3

Really nothing is imbalanced or balanced it's just the way Blizzard sees it . BW had really minor changes in comparison to SC2 , which i think was better for e-sports , but constantly changing game isn't a bad thing either if you enjoy following it .

They changed several staff members between HotS and LotV. A big change in direction isn't surprising in the slightest.

Protoss got dicked on in the LotV announcement ultra-hard. They need to make a lot of changes and whatever they're holding back on unit wise for Protoss needs to be good.


Good point, but I don't think anyone here is suggesting taking something back from Protoss without giving anything back. People are aware that Protoss is relying on them.

So yeah, obviously Protoss would need something to make up for it.

FF exists directly in response to WG. If toss can spawn units anywhere on the map, the units have to be weak enough that you can't just 4-gate with a proxy pylon and win. If they're weak, they need a way to split fights up or delay until they have more units.


Completely agree. Thats why the WG change in LotV is so genius. I'm not sold on the Forcefield change yet, but I've got a feeling that at it is a solid basis to work with.

Didn't seem to stop Stephano beating everyone with only Roaches against both Forcefields and Immortals.

Take Forcefields out of the equation?

Protoss got dicked on in the LotV announcement ultra-hard. They need to make a lot of changes and whatever they're holding back on unit wise for Protoss needs to be good.

Just wait for immortal drop harassment in LotV.

Disruptor drop harass is gonna be the bigger thing. Their AoE is pretty large and they're fast enough when charging that workers can't run away.

If Protoss balls himself inside of forcefields, you get to do both.

Blizzard has announce less changes for Protoss than the other two races, and there's a yet unknown unit still not revealed, so we can't make judgement too fast. Maybe they'll give Protoss something more broken than the cyclone .
