Just it time to not watch my country get embarrased. I'm assuming Huk got his ass kicked just as bad as Scarlett? Probably harder in that, he kind of played pretty much as you would expect him to play and still got stomped. Scarlett didn't really look on her best form, coupled with Heart's style and timings seeming to have been very well planned and executed well to boot. Scarlett not looking her best form is kind of to be expect vs Korean Terran's lately it's kind of sad too because she almost looked dominant again at red bull only to have massive game swings due to widow mines. if only she could stick to muta ling bane and bait out widow mine shots better. It pains me to say this, but Scarlett's success was entirely due to the shape of the metagame vs Terran prior to the patch. She always played very greedy, got up to a very high drone count on minimal units and once she was up to the drone count she wanted she used a high baneling count to just steamroll over her opponents. In matches vs Polt she would take bad engagements consistently but manage to win games due to sheer macro power. The hellbat and widow mine patches directly nerfed what she was doing. She can't get by with those same bad fights she was taking before because she doesn't have the same economic lead going into the midgame and not controlling her Banelings hurts a lot more than it used to.
I wouldn't say it was all due to the metagame but the nerfs did directly affect her style the most and she still hasn't adapted. She keeps trying different styles like swarmhosts and roach ling, and still hasn't figured out a style that works for her post patch. Pretty much all zergs are at a disadvantage in the match up currently. I'm sure scarlett and the other zergs will figure out something by next year.

I don't mean lazy as in they don't work hard at their game, and god knows they have a lot of other things mechanically that need doing, but it seems that there needs to be pain, needs to be something incredibly difficult that must be overcome for a long-term improvement in gameplay to occur.
I mean, hypothetically let's say tanks were made stronger because banes were considered imba wayyyy back in WoL. Would we have had the game develop to a stage where to be a Terran of any level of renown, you simply have to be able to split bio pretty competently?
Eh the maps didn't allow for DRG to really get to a late game against Inno.
Leenock is playing even better now against Terran than anyone else arguably.
soO has problems in finals.
And it's not like there were that many great ZvT players before that nerf. Only DRG, Curious and Soulkey by my count.

And they all have been vocal about being insecure in the matchup since the patch.

It's not so much that the nerf was/wasn't warranted, what I was noticing was that Zergs were noticeably, slowly getting better across the board. A bit longer with the extra requirements in engagement micro and perhaps it might have 'stuck' if you will.
Post-nerf I swear it's sometimes like watching early HoTS when I see people engage biomine, it's as if some people have just atrophied now that the mine is super potent again they are getting punished. isclaimer, not calling anyone a patchzerg or whatever*
