... thats the entire debate dude. catz and targa said they dont think people can tell, lots of people have already argued it to death, the point being made here is an actual experiment beyond people saying "well im 100% sure that i can tell!" would be interesting

He said he could tell which was faster, not necessarily which was Korean.

in his previous post he said something like "koreans are faster almost 100% of the time" so...?
I don't understand how Chinese players aren't as good as Korean players. Their scene is pretty much region locked and they've had years and years to develop their ambition only competing between each other and not having to face players from outside their local scene. The invigoration they receive from knowing that they have a real shot at winning their local event should push them to become as good as players that are competing in the GSL.

Exactly. And that's why I insist on controlling as much of the actions as possible by making it a video with parts of games shown, with a questionnaire to go with it. You remove more of the RNG this way. It makes it harder to call it a sham and invalidate the data.

tbh i just dont think anyone is going to do that. if you assembled the testers and subjects and actually made it happen with academic legitimacy that would be amazing but id rather hear about a half-valid experiment that actually occurs than a totally valid experiment that no one bothers doing

The meta still lags some.
i dont think you can discount the history korea has with the game either. when its wrapped into your culture youre naturally going to get a heavier flow of quality players and a higher level of competition

Not to mention they have no good Terrans.
XY is probably the top of things, but it isn't quite as bad as SEA in terms of racial bias

The problem with chopping and slicing up games is that sometimes the "tell" would be revealed through the entire game.
But I see what you mean, like you can show two scenes of MC and someone else doing a set of forcefields, and ask who is who.
