Opening Colossus is working it out though. Pulling SCVs is also working it out. Both decisions are perfectly logical given the state of the game. So we can except to see a lot of Colossus openings and a lot of SCV pulls. The players will just try to get better at those things, which still won't be fun to watch even if you get 50/50 win rates in terrible, boring games.

I feel like something is just wrong with that picture Um well that's actually consistent (if a Protoss can win with less upgrades, he can certainly win the more upgrades), but herO's upgrade-less set was unique and had such fast research and a high unit count that the splash damage and general unit composition trumped the upgrade problem. His opponent just wasn't prepared for the odd build.

Maybe something as small as workers not benefiting from upgrades, or removing the widow mine shield damage buff so we see HT openings again and get games like Maru versus Dear from GSL season 3 last year. Those were the best TvP, PvT games ever. You're neglecting the main reason why Terran players even do these SCV pulls in the first place.....

I guess the idea is more of even if you reverse the situation it still ends well for the protoss (when in theory the idea SHOULD be that the results are also flipped). And I understand WHY it worked, I just don't like it ![]()
