let me rephrase. The majority of protoss ground units are slow. If they get caught by a superior zerg army its dead regardless if u have good forcefields. The only exception is blink stalkers but that gets negated by fungal. But I do agree that recall needs some cost

Edit: an example would be MC vs Sacsri game 5. First soul train gets rekt and there is no chance of escape without recall

why is there a premise that if you came attacking you should have an option to just safely return home anyway?


Because Protoss design is such crap that if they can't safely return home, they'll just stay home and never leave for 20 minutes.

pretty much this. And if Protoss gets counter attacked as soon as they move out. It automatically forces a basetrade without recall which is just stupid..
