MC shrugged off the loss of his entire army as Protoss, very expensive units, and it was not even a problem. Even MC himself seemed surprised he won! TY had more bases, he had better tech, he took better fights, he dealt more economic damage, harassed all game. MC is good, but so is TY, and TY showed it in this game. Everyone was shocked, and for good reason. MC didn't lose his entire army lol, he had like 10+ templar spread around his bases and pockets of zealots everywhere. He lost a ton of units, mostly stalker and colossi, but Ty also threw away like 10-15 ghosts in the middle of the map after missing an observer. He did not take better fights, did not have better tech, and he harassed all game but the last 10+ minutes were him sending drops into MC's main where very little was and them getting feedbacked and stormed to death without doing anything.

Everyone was shocked, and for good reason. That game deserves re-watching. But, I don't think TY took the better fights. Only one was a comprehensive win to TY (the one where he sniped all MC's obs). But, otherwise, I think they were either even trades or MC had the better of them. Also, bear in mind MC loves these kinds of scrappy games. The last one that comes immediately to mind is MC vs JD on Whirlwind. MC looked done and out after a failed all-in (and JD's counter killing an Artosis pylon). Somehow, MC won.

Balance is a sensitive thing. By neglecting the players as "the balancers" you piss on the Esports as you think you know how the game should be, changing the core again and again. You can never reach perfection except within yourself. Take a good look in the mirror and think: Why me? Lmao, balance isn't some mystical spiritual experience. It's a fact, the game's either balanced or it's not. If the legitimacy of esports is so fragile that talking about the fact of its artificial design endangers it, then esports doesn't deserve to be legitimate. Fortunately I couldn't agree less with your point.
