Which structure ? O'GamingTV or Millenium ?
No idea , I guess the one who would be doing the WCS cast. I understand that they want to use DM to cast, because of the higher CPM, but I dont understand how no show would be better than a show on twitch with low CPM. Especially since its via clean feed and you dont really need a production crew to do it

I'm going to summarize the whole problem.
First, aAa received to right to stream last year WCS but it was awful, sorry zidwait if you read me. This year, aAa, O'GamingTV and Millenium agreed on a partnership because O'GamingTV and Millenium have a studio on Paris, they can cast together and everything would be great.
But ESL refused to let the French alliance to stream it on Dailymotion. Then, ToD tried to stream WCS but he was told not to do so because a big company, most likely Dailymotion to be honest, was talking with ESL. Moreover, Millenium and O'Gaming had several meetings with Blizzard in Versailles but none of them was really succesfull.
There is an issue in France with Twitch, it's awful if you have the wrong ISP. And there is also a major issue, there is no ad between 14:00 and 00:00 CEST in France and Poland, it's weird but it's true.
So, there is another problem, Llewellys wants to drop SC2 because the game is not that succesfull compared to LoL. Then, O'GamingTV/aAa/Millenium want to produce a great show. There are 4 casters working for O'GamingTV, one for Millenium and one for aAa.
But there is a whole crew behind O'GamingTV which is favored to host the French broadcast because it's more friendly, there are huge sofas, beers... And with Twitch they can't afford this type of show, they want to produce a show with a great quality not a cast on a room with only two casters.
It's hard to get excited for a certain player, i would be fine with any of them winning it all TT guess i'll just hope for some cool games and enjoy the show

Probably not unless it's donger something.
I'm sure they could find some winding twisted way to justify it as sexist or something and act on that. And for once I wouldn't mind because it's annoying enough when it's limited to chats (and boy it's made its way into every chat) but on TL... >_<

So, is the ESL producer having a hard on for MC or am I just tabbing to look at the wrong times? I haven't seen Stardusts face yet and the MC shots seem really long 0.0!

They've done a bunch of Stardust close-ups as well
I'm sorry ESL, but I have to turn adblock back on until twitch fixes their stupid super laggy unmuteable ads. My internet almost crashes every commercial break

One could say, based upon these games, MC seems to really understand PvP and is a toplevel player in that matchup.
Yeah his PvP was shaky for awhile but now he truly embraced the The Great Book of Protoss Bullshit. MC always cared about $$$ and that is how he rolls.

i was having the time of my life watching the game then i look back into the lr and everyone is so negative.
watch this shit in italian, it's fun!
i don't know, i watched the English cast and thoroughly enjoyed myself. i don't know why people gotta be so negative whenever something is "cheesy", it's just one of the ways of playing the game. i actually like games like that cause we don't get to see them too often. plus it's MC, he's like the original manifestation of Protoss cheeses and all-ins. can't hate on him.
PvP is a very hard matchup to grasp. There's a lot of metagaming, tiny windows, high potential for risks and aggression. It's a very tough matchup to enjoy if you don't understand what is going on. An ofcourse, the tech choice is usually blind, which sometimes causes silly shit, but mostly, if you look very carefully, not a single player randomly pulls the killswitch in a normal game - there's always a sign of weakness.

I think the turnaround for MC was when he lost his last GSL finals against Seed. That was a series that truly showed the power of cheese in PvP.

I always have a browser on with low quality and muted, but if you watch with ads, I especially hate how they seem to lag your entire stream AND are much higher in sound. I mean, I don't need the entire building to hear about some random ad...

That was straight up PvP. Not doing this would be pretty weird, seeing how well it works.
By straight up I meant based on skill, not a roll of the dice.
Games like this are highly skill-based even if you don't enjoy watching them.
How are they skill based? You mean skillbased like RPS?
I mean like a game where you don't win unless you play your cards right - that includes staying on top of micro and decision making, because the match-up lies on a razors edge. The idea that PvP is all about luck is ridiculous and the people that think MC lucked his way to two wins in a row simply don't know the game well enough. If these games weren't skill-based, any GM player would have been able to beat Stardust twice, and that's really not the case.

No it's the ads themselves. They come from some shit server in Canada, and the ad itself tries to load multiple videos at the same time as sort of a multilayed ad. I've messaged twitch about it multiple times, but it's not like they give a shit.

I disagree. While it may be distracting in the huge engagements, it's a nice feature in minor battles / micro-heavy harassment.

Yeah MC's PvP has been on-and-off since 2011 pretty much. And he was more on the "off" side prior to this match, so a lot of people expected StarDust to win.

Hallucination scout and MSC/Stalkers give enough information to not die to a tech. Stop with the blind hate dude.
How can you scout a proxied stargate anywhere on the map? Especially on big maps, it's impossible.
No, you will not see the Stargate. You will however see there's a lot of gas mined and it is apparantly not being used on units/tech you can see -> it's probably proxied. What would you proxy? Stargate/DT, usually, as Blink has a big Stalker count to tell you it's coming. Both DT and SG are quite straight forward to deal with mutually.
By the way, for those hating on PvP, I'm not sure whether any of these exist on good games higher level, but there's probably a lot to learn from the Pro Casted Homestory VODs! Slightly outdated, but the basis is there.

Watch the last encounter between these two.
Also Jjakji vs Revival at IEM.
They're both excellent in the matchup, have a very close history and are both pretty stable (as in, not on or off on a daily basis). Promises to be a good series :D
Spent a lot of time at home during the holidays, it's not the worst idea I tell you :D.
I've been living on my own for 1,5 years now, but damn, do I get onto the nerves of my mother (and she on mine) after 3/4 days 0.0!
Haha yeah that can happen. You just have to be out drinking or at a friend's place most of the time. Then it's really nice to find food and washed clothes whenever you come home.

A promising young EU Terran player who died in the great Hype Train crash of 2013 that killed every Terran in Europe.
The Father of all the Hype Trains
Lucifron died by using his body as a shield to protect Dayshi :[
I swear Dayshi is sick good and will win a tournament one day
I remember ForGG said on stream a while ago that Dayshi was the best foreign Terran, who could beat Koreans if he just ramped up his game by a small amount. I believe it. He's always a solid player.
Ragequit for Naniwa is not right. He just saw that IdrA became the uncontested "fuck that game" foreigner so Nani had to win that title by quitting even harder.

I can't understand how people mix them up once they've been informed of the difference, I mean it's not hard to tell Battlefield and Call of Duty apart and I think they're a lot more alike than LoL/DotA. Is the whole "they're the same to me" some kind of convoluted attempt at insulting the game or what?

I've never been informed. I played Dota2 like one time and watched them both a couple times a while ago and that's my total exposure.
Here is a crash course on the difference between LoL and Dota 2:
In LoL - Koreans are so strong that a mid-tier Korean team can go 32-0 against the world, where NA and EU openly admit to fighting for bronze (Since China is better than them too.)
In dota2 - EU is slightly ahead, but China is really strong and NA can pull out some good wins, and a guy named Bulba says he'll cut his penis if he loses to team DOG.

Idk, some people genuinely could not give a single shit. Not everyone is into watching games for the sake of "esports" but rather because they enjoy... well... watching certain games.
I know there's a lot of tension and a lot of retards flaming and baiting from community to another, but let's be fair here and give at least some the benefit of the doubt. :S

Losing the same base 3 times vs. 1 dropship each time is really not good. I don't get why Vortix isn't sending some units to defend there, he should know what Jjakji's doing now.

These two just have the most entertaining games. Jjakji's multitasking just seems amazing, as well as his reaction time to those banelings going for his workers. I fear for his wrists, though

Vortix does not seem very tilty to me. I feel his mechanics may not quite be on the same level as the other foreigner ZvT monsters like Snute or Scarlett though. I dunno, I think these kinds of situations will favour Jjakji's insane speed and multitasking.

He certainly didn't tilt in the Vasacast Invitational, but you never know, on this stage and with these stakes. Especially after losing such an intense and well-played game. We'll have to see... :S

Life is very pretty, so he naturally dislikes ugly people. It's like Muhammed Ali when he talked about his opponent and said he was too ugly to be champion. The champion has to be pretty.

vortix kinda did everything in his power to scout, didn't he (except drone scouting his opponents natural) but jjakji didn't reveal anything.
the late CC (which overlord saw missing before dying) made vortix cautious which explains 4 queens plus spine, but really he had no other information. it could have been one of those MMA offset CCs to keep it out of vision of the overlord.

He saw 3 marines (meaning that no marines were cut so it wouldn't have been a 1rax -> CC -> depot as is standard when 1rax expanding).

Yeah, that is just personal preference. I mean, if that was a scouting information that would trigger a Zerg to build mass zerglings and spines, every Terran would 1rax expand and cut an SCV instead of a marine and win every macro game afterwards.

Thing is that Vortix wasn't crushed. This series could've easily been 2-0 Vortix, counting first two games only. In game 3, Jjkaji clearly played better though, Vortix defenses slipped vs. the mass hellions.

Sometimes it is really hard to keep a perfect moderation record...
GG Jjakji, you're the better player today and I will continue to support you in future tournaments, but in the semis I wish you death by tripple cannon rush in less than half an hour.

Did you see game 2 ? :/
Yep. Vortix couldn't figure out what it was, reacted wrongly, although he saw 2-3 marines which was unusual. Jjakji coinflipped and won. Game 1 was not scouting the flying CC.

What Apollo said was pretty accurate if you just base it on TL polls. So, no he isn't more popular. He did show us that he's better than Vortix at least.

Honestly Game 1 was the only one that really showed how they stack up against one another in a standard game. The other 2 were mostly just testament to jjakji's preparation and approach to a Bo5 series.

I would actually say Naniwa did best against Korean competition. Stephano's GSL performance was quite bad, even though it was during bl-inf
It was after KeSPA switch. NaNiwa's was before.
Uh... lets not go there, shall we...
the one won tournaments the other didnt
Both did.

You did it :D. Wasn't sure he could take Stardust.
Jjakji vs Vortix looks like it went about as expected. Figured Vortix would get 1 game though. Oh well.
The score isn't that indicative of the games though, G1 could (and maybe should) have gone to Vortix and game 2 was pretty weird. Game 3 was the only one, where Jjakji played clearly better.

Hardly relevant considering just how vastly different their runs were in terms of success
I've always thought that Stephano made a big mistake by not going in GSL earlier. If he had tried it a year before (when he was at his peak), at the same time as NaNiwa, he would have had much more chances. Now it's too late, for sure.
This is the problem with most foreigners, they are capable of beating anyone, just very inconsistent. Stephano is the only real successful one (don't mention naniwa)

was game 1 that close? i don't think that cc had a big impact. scvs were never transferred there and vortix found it in reaosnable time. i thought the game was heavily in jjakji's favour and slipping further and further that way since the first time he killed the 4th hatch.

There were no SCV's transfered, because there were no SCVs left. Vortix had a 30 worker lead (50-20) and than Jjakji out-macroed him with MULES. I'd say, the game would have probably gone to Vortix if he had flown his Mutas a few inches further, but than the one marine he found distracted him.

I still think it is important to remember that Stephano during his run only lost in GSL against one player, Bogus, who was on the verge of becoming the center of attention from the masturbations of many fanboys not long after this. It is quite unfair to say he did very bad there when Naniwa beat mostly very accessible players (except for Genius maybe).

It's an unwinnable, never-ending argument. Just like people who maintain that NesTea was a god of sorts even though he beat almost exclusively bad players to win his titles.

1 down, 2 more to go lol. jjakji 3-0 Vortix as well thus the reason that one must not get too excited about having that many foreigners in the RO8
Elfi's trying to pick a fight?
You somehow miss the part where Naniwa's acting like a petty douchebag towards other players?
