It is first SC2 tournament I am watching since last year and I must admint SC2 is still the best e-sport out there.
Awesome game.

65k people is hardly no viewers...

And why are we even talking about this? I would understand if games were terrible, but so far Taeja vs. Life is great.

Thank you IEM for this stupid format

The format is arguably what makes for these games though

No. These games aren't good because of the format...

yup, players will not play half-ass. they will fight to the death for 100K. love the gladiator aspect of this tournament. more bread and circuses, virtual circuses

Did you watch IEM Cologne? Sick games and the format was different. The players make the games not the format. Thinking this "gladiator aspect" is doing this to the games is just stupid.

i disagree. players will play their absolute best for 100K. no relax games, or full foreigner games will be at a minimal. it's good to see the audience will watch players play for something on the line. Like Poker

No viewers ? .____.

It was showing 20k for me, should have refreshed the stream page. 55k is actually quite awesome and from here on it will only go up i feel. :D

We got around 65k people watching + a lot of viewer at the event. I would say the number is not bad.

nowhere near 100k...

I don't see why you're fretting about this, just enjoy the games.

That was pretty good game by Taeja. His defense was great, his army movement on the map as well. I just didn't like those hellbats in the mix since eventually you need marauders. And making hellbats and marauders got him into trouble against all those mutas.

WM are still the better choice + maraduers can snipe hatches way faster and tank more bane shots.

I think he would have an easier time if he changed his army composition a bit.

also, I wouldn't be surprised if Life wasted 3x more resources than Taeja...

But hellbats pretty much make ling surrounds useless. If you looked at the army comps, it was actually Life that had to use a more banelings heavy comp with less lings because of the hellbats.

Thanks Naniwa.

Now we know why some gladiators were losing back in the Antiquity. Their opponent could hear the crowd and defend their cheesy moves.

If you think this then you think every other tournament not winner take all is a farce because people might not be playing their hardest. Also there have been some shitty games at this tournament too.

Well, they're both races that do not depend on deathballs, gimmickly play or 101 different kinds of nearly impossible to predict all-ins.

Taeja is a showman, he was just adding some hollywood feel to it all by going down 2 games *sunglasses*

Actually, the more pressure there is, the more you will see critical blunders. See for instance what happened to Revival vs jjakji in the last game of their series.
