I think the assertion is´nt really based on the bo1 against Maru, but rather on the fact, that he droped to Code B and has´nt made the ro8 in any tournament for 10 months now.
that + his PL performance ain't really that impressive when you see who he racked up those 6 wins against. half of his PL wins these season were against mediocre opponents at best (sniper) and flat out bad players (emotion and drg). hell, he even lost vs sora. he's unable to win a tvp against anyone that isn't flat out bad.

I haven't said anything wrong, maybe I exaggerated by calling DRG flat out bad, but he's way past his days when he used to be a force in sc2. He's nowhere near his wol level, and imo nowadays he's just bad with a few flashes of old briliance.

Yeah, I did. That's what I call a few flashes of old brilliance. That's also the thing fantasy had in R1 PL when he widowmined flash's bc's. Those players won't gain more skill the harder you fanboy, it doesn't work like that.
So if DRG had flashes of old brilliance, that would mean, he was brialliant once, which would mean, he was talented, which is equivalent with saying he is talented (since talent is time-invariant), which would mean he is not flat out bad, right?
The funny part is how he says Flash's win against DRG is essentially irrelevant because he's supposedly "bad" yet acknowledges DRG played very well this game. How are we supposed to extract any sense from this?
Are you serious now? Truth is DRG isn't really relevant anymore in the top player base, truth is also that flash only looks good in tvz, what exactly is your problem?
