You aren't going to see anything worth talking about in the first few minutes in TvZ. This map is way too big for anything other than just CC first builds. It's a horrible map tbh. I complete disagree that it's zerg favoured too, at least not vs P. Vs T I really don't know, I could see some really stupid games being played here. My games on AS usually look like the one these two played in the earlier series. Get swallowed up by the zerg on my first pushout and lose control of my third into die. Mech seems almost impossible to play, it's like a protoss deathball without recall and warp gate. You're likely to die from starvation before you can eliminate a zerg who just spams buildings everywhere.
Mech is hard to play.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
It's gratifying to win with though, makes it worthwhile when you do.

True spawns at 11 o'clock vs Bbyong at 7o'clock. [0-3] Hatch first vs CC first; [3-6] Zerg goes 3hatch before pool. Terran goes 1rax into gas after his CC frist. Ling speed starts and True pulls off gas. Reactored hellion the way and 3rd cc starts. [6-8] 2factory blue flame hellion comming out. True making a ton of lings are per always. True has no creeps and not a lot of queens. True scouts the incoming blue flame attacka nd starts rooach warrern. [8-11] Blue flames run into main and in base nat and kill tons of zerglings. They don't kill many workers though. Bbyong is down by a lot of supply and the spire starts. [11-14] Bbyong tries to run into the main again but gets nothing done. True had made some roaches + more lings. True takes his 4th base. Bbyong going into bio. Mutas coming out + baneling nest. Terran going bio + mine. True is up by 40 supply. Terran is starting his +2/+2, is slightly ahead on upgrades. Bbyong is moving across the map. True has very little map visiion. True is maxed. [14-17] Bbyong sets up his 4th. Terran is maxed and moving across the map with a marine mine army with thor + tank. True making a ton of banelings - going to go up to 50 banelings total. Huge engagemeent with Bbyong being unprepared slightly. Bbyong gets crushed.
[17-20] Bbyong lost all his widow mines in major engagement but saved marines. Both are still maxed. True rulling into Bbyongs 3rd with a lot of his baenlings but a lot blow up on the thor. Bbyong snipes a natural hatch with a drop while trying to engage another base. Bbyong holds his 3rd. Bbyong down by 20 supply. Hive starts.

This should be a Code A series. I can't believe one of these two is going to advance to the Ro16 in the GSL the way they are playing.
TRUE had really good hellion-defense. His macro is on point in this game and he has good multitasking and controls this game really well. He looked lost against mech on heavy rain but against BByong's bio play he is actually playing really well.
Edit: and as I say that he takes an absolutely awful engagement...

"He scouted nothing in his base" isn't necessarily a good thing

and that's why you dont sacrifice banelings on thors

Now imagine how dead Bbyong would be if TRUE wouldnt have the worst baneling control of all time
|
Not the most efficient baneling usage but I guess it works out
|
In all seriousness this map is awful
|
Ah korean terrans why u get no tanks?
|
I feel for Bbyong how are you supposed to attack on this map ? He should just defend and split the map if possible ...

Ok this looks amazing, but the Zerg is loosing waaaay to much stuff.

He doesn't even NEED to be playing this well.
BByong looks terrible in this game. Maybe it's the map forcing him away from Mech which he's more comfortable with, but for whatever reason Bbyong looks as lost in this game as TRUE did in the last one.
Either way. This doesn't look like a Code S series, especially if you compare it to something like you'd see from like Soulkey vs Taeja.
EDIT: soon as I typed that TRUE threw away a million Banelings for nothing. FFS.

True no ttaking gas at 4/5 base and no macro hatches - he doesn't want to win does he?

No way for terran to survive splitmap, not enough mobility and mutas are too good --;

[20-23] True rulling into Bbyongs 3rd witha ton of banelings again but Bbyong holds. Banelings blow up 2 thors. Supplys are even. Has True seeing Bbyongs 4th? Bbyong is dropping Trues 5th and natural again. Bbyong now up by 30 supply.
Drops are doing ok daamage and forcing Treus mutas to be defensive while Bbyong ismoving across the map with a maxed army again.

True seems to like throwing away won games by being overly aggressive. He did that against Parting, he now does it against BByong :/
|
Haha true, has 2.7k minerals in the bank and not a single static Defense to help him defend against the drops :D
|
True is on hive tech? he must be looking at those upgrades and wondering why nobody told him about them before :o

It's fine though TRUE is wasting his gas on banelings and isn't using them effectively .

His baneling control is awful!
