Problem is without swarmhost, zergs are pretty much left with a surprise muta switch in mid to late game. Because once P gets on 4 bases, you just cannot match a stalker/colo/HT army, get tempest for BLs and immortals for Ultras.
Idk man, hyun has had some really good games vs stalker/colo/ht which don't use swarmhosts.
Was that against foreign tosses? Because he has been getting owned by korean protosses lately. Hyun also played a lot hydra/roach vs bio tank. He gets by because of his macro and just keeps trading and overwhelms with production. But against the good players, they never let him snowball and his comps don't work out in the late game.

MC did it on CK during a... Dreamhack, maybe? In WoL.
Yeah, MC did a 2 base carrier all in vs Kas on CK and won. I still use that build today and beat masters terrans with it. It's hilarious.

I have watched like 2-3 season with 20+ Terrans. That shit was way worse than anything that can happen this season, at least P and Z numbers are somewhat similiar, whereas in the gomtvt days it was literally only terran. I'd much rather sit through 500 swarm host games and PvPs than watching tank/bio vs tank/bio.
I'd truly like to know how do you come to like SH / Deathball 20 minutes camping more than TvT. Yes there were boring TvTs (when tank viking by both players), but come on.... TvT back then was WAAAAAY more interesting than PvZ now. Matter of taste, but then I just can't understand how do you get entertained, it just doesn't compute with my personal conception of "Entertainment"
Well first and for most I do prefer anything over bio/tank vs bio/tank. However, I do agree that mech vs bio is way way better than SH games ever will be. Well it depends on the kind of SH game that goes on. If Z continuously tries to pick of P units with every wave while P tried to abuse the immobility and harrasses everywhere (we barely see this atm, but it'll come) I really enjoy watching it, when it's a foreigner building static D and sitting on his ass while the foreign P does the same I obv don't enjoy it much.
Also I actually always watch every single game that goes down in a Korean league so I guess I just got fed up on watching tvt 2 years ago and never really got over it.

It wouldn't really affect anything in the early game, and carriers aren't nearly as microable as they were in BW so they'd be really easy to pick off with vikings. They'd probably not get used all that much vs terran.
It's an interesting idea, but I dunno how much it would help. Its such a big commitment to go from toss ground to air and the swarm hosts would be keeping the pressure on the whole time. Be interesting to see in a game. WHY don't you just give the carriers +20 damage vs locusts/free units?

We aren't arguing that SH are imba and should be changed, we are arguing its a boring ass unit used in a boring way and it leads games into 20-30 min split map stalemates that are awful to watch.
