That was a decent last game, but Beasty was dead for about 15 minutes or more, and it was kind of painful watching Nerchio not be able to just kill him.
If all goes well and the skill level rises that should reduce, presumably. This was the first tournament of a mod still very much a work in progress.

I thought it was great. When Nerchio got an advantage, the game wasn't over, so when he made micro mistakes afterward, he gave away his lead a tiny bit. In the end, the early game didn't decide the match, it merely contributed to the long list of mistakes and flashes of brilliance on either side, which cumulatively led to a victor being decided. After watching that, I felt that the game wasn't decided by luck or BO's, it was a pretty fair result considering the amount of skill the two players exhibited. Although, the score of 2-0 wasn't quite representative of how well Beasty played.

I think this allows for comeback potential for good players. That's something that's a bit different than what we're use to. Where a single engagement often decides the game in SC2, in this game it seems to take many engagements.
And in the future, players may also realize better when they've lost and GG earlier. None of these players have much experience playing. BeastyQT spent a lot of scans towards the end of the game trying to realize how far behind he actually was. It's not like most players are going to purposely stay in the game when they know they've lost . . . these guys honestly just don't know when they've lost yet.

There are vikings in this game too . . . and they have splash damage
I think that Nerchio honestly didn't realize that Arbiters existed yet. He admitted that he only went 1 strategy for most of the tournament. Using recall and moving the Carriers around that way would greatly increase their mobility and map presence. Also, Stasis is pretty damn good when used properly.

Will replays be released for this? I hope so, especially in beta stage it's interesting to study as many replays as possible.

I like Starbow a lot, but I think it needs more terrible terrible damage. It's just... missing something. Maybe everything needs to do more damage.?? Explosions need to be bigger too.
Call me.
