For one thing, zerg units are mostly melee or very short range, meaning it's a hell of a lot harder to effectively work with the units when splitting, and they are also faster, meaning you have less control time, and banelings have a shorter range than WM, again adding to difficulty. Plus WM are burrowed so you can't see them. Plus no medivacs to quickly pick up units etc etc. It's just a different scenario entirely. Another thing is it's BORING to see spam of MMWM. Who cares about balance when it's just boring as hell. yup no variety is boring .. if only marine tank is as viable as mmmm ... we wont see mmmm every single damn game .. and also marines are easier to split and banelings cant chase marines without creep .. splitting zerglings and banelings is harder since they clump too much, they are melee and the unit size is so small that one widow mine hit will kill 20-30 lings ..

When Ryu Won left SlayerS for WJS, the downfall of MMA began and many were wondering how much it had to do with Ryu Won leaving. I am not sure if he is still WJS' coach. Also, he did bring MMA to WJS house to practice with Soulkey, before he went on to win the final. So Coach Ryu is probably more responsible for WJS' success than anything else :D

Terran poke with bio to kill off some lings and banelings, just like how zerg sent off some lings to bait widow mine shots. BUT for the actual engagement, Terran pulls away from the banelings and Zerg moves the banelings into the bio. Widow mines hits become unavoidable because you are engaging with your whole army. i.e. you can't micro against a widow mine that has targetted a unit. Terran on the other hand can improvise with micro, lifting up marines, splitting the bio and stutterstepping etc. Did I miss some sort of unwritten rule that requires you to have the "actual engagement" on top of unspent widow mines?
