Oh yeah. When I ended up getting into Gold, people just had spores up by the times my banshees would hit since they'd probably seen the build so often at that level. I started losing a lot, so I started doing a 2 rax,1 factory build where I'd hit with about 6 hellions, a bunch of bio and Combat Shields and I would beat zergs ALL the time because I wouldn't allow them to scout the push via the watchtower. You'd be surprised how dependent zergs were on those things lol.

I wouldn't say it's trash. It's a good thing to throw in there every now and then like Taeja does for example. Same goes for DT builds though, if terran defends the way they should then you generally lose

I liked using maru's random marine-hellion-dropship bullshit builds exclusively during WoL, I dunno if they were more effective than gasless builds but they were at least a lot more fun :o
