With the new muta speed and especially regen, the only way to counter a zerg commitment to muta is mass phoenix with range now. Blink stalker archon storm just doesn't cut it, because weakening the mutas over time is nullified by the regen, which was buffed over 3.6x the original amount. The muta buffs are a large part of why ZvZ is muta vs muta every game now as well.

I like a spontaneous, random kind of base trade scenario, but Mutas seem to force it far too often. I wonder what Parting's thought process was there, Ithink he saw the spire, did he just assume Soulkey was getting it for corruptors to stop his timing and miscalculated or what? Uncharacteristic supply block and indecision there too ![]() I agree. It's not that Mutas are imbalanced per-se, but they definitely encourage base racing. There aren't many units that you can simply make 40 of and win the game outright.

Still a possiblity but at least sOs and Innovation should be the slight favourites in their respective ro8's...you never know which bomber decides to show up so I won't dare to predict that one :p

Artosis said he couldn't even find the words to describe how good Parting is. I guess the best way to describe Parting right now would be "< Soulkey"

I don't know why you guys would think that way. PvZ is a matter of this: you either hard counter your opponent, or you die horribly looking like a total fool, just like that final game. It doesn't help that the unit compositions required to fight each of the zerg builds are so very different. Also, you play terran, the race with the most X-base timings. Why the double standard? I'm sorry, but I get upset when people do not give credit where credit was due: PartinG played like a god for 4/5 of that series, and utterly fucked up in the ending.

The only big thing is Rain because he's figured and he doesn't give a flying fuck about it. I'm not so sure sOs will be 'figured out'. He's stylistically different from Rain, but equally, Rain just plays damn safe and solid, sOs has terrific decision making and interesting builds, the two are both equally valid styles if the players play them right

He pulled all four and didn't even take one out! Even if feedbacks had gone off, he still would have been in a better position losing 3 vipers and getting one pull right.
