Eh it's not the Ultras you build the tanks for it's the infestors. Also the map with all the ramps and chokes is very good for tanks. A wide open map and you wouldn't have see him build this many tanks.

Well Vipers counter them even better, and quite frankly with such strong ultralisks i'd say you're much better having heavy rauder army that can actually kite against the zerg. I'm guessing Polt went tanks there since he knew there would be no way Goswser would be able to get vipers out and not die.

I'm not too sure, I'd say based on some of his early-game weakness that he has probably just started dating someone ![]()

When the Zerg finally stabilized and tried to gain some map control Polt started droping and put pressure on the third . Polt is playing this perfectly . And that forces you to have your whole army on one hotkey which you use to defend all drops, is that your point?

At present Zergs aren't really making vipers against bio-heavy compositions but yeah, if Terrans start to mix in tanks as the game goes on we might see them, and then things would continue to shift from there. I'd like to see tanks become a staple in TvZ again though, it feels wrong to have Terran's signature unit all but absent in two of the three matchups. I've given up on TvP, it's never going to be anything but a battle of the balls.
