HAHAHAHAHA good one xD!
ZvZ is a mess right now. Although the other day a zerg pro (dont remember his name) shared his no muta build with him. It was kind of cool. I hope the matchup evolves away from the mutawars.
I love this Muta vs Muta zvz, playing and watching it's great imo. So mechanical and fast paced. Ling run bys all game long and sick upgrade timings, just a really skillful matchup imo. How can people say lasers vs lasers was better, when you have units being active on the map all game long in zvz now, instead of 2 balls being built up. It's a question of taste I guess, but I love it.

I think as muta vs muta gets more figured out we will get to see smaller packs of mutas harassing more often. I think it could get more exciting than this.
You attack different bases with different packs, your opponent simply goes to your base and straight up kills you.

So how come there weren't *any*?
Investing in infestors is cost intensive, which means less mutas. Ur pretty much bettin on hitting a money fungal as your only hope.
After hitting 200/200 of turteling and avoiding fights you might want to add an infestor pit and replace some zerglings with a few infestors uh?
I think the next step of ZvZ is trying to squeeze in infestors into the composition without dying to muta first. The timing must be really really tight, though.

150 gas for the pit + 150 gas energy upgrade + 150 gas/infestor. it has to come at the perfect time or, if you get engaged, you're like 6 mutas behind and just lose immediately. i think we'll see it more and more just as a natural evolution of things, but in this style--especially with top korean mechanics--it's hard to justify just "throwing that down".
it's not a question of supply or zerglings. it's all about the gas. and if you have a 1k gas bank, you could even justify a faster muta remax in some situations.

Even before that you could start teching to infestors. With a few spores at your expansions you can survive any attack even with the fewer mutas while you're waiting for the iinfestors.

still, i don't like the style at all.
What if you have spores at your bases? The only way you can't avoid an engagement is if they attack one of your expos; a few spores would make up for the muta deficit, wouldn't it?
