they are quite great when they are in a combat. Which happens when the opponent has slower units that you can attack like Colossi.
I'm really glad that such a boring unit isn't the end all AtA unit in the game. If something is needed in between Infestors, Hydras, Vipers which you can use to snipe single VRs and Colossi and Queens/Spores which are quite good for defense, I definatly hope that it is not going to be better Corruptors.

The infestor on HoTS is a mere shadow of the monster it is in WoL. It's a proper support unit that has specific uses instead of the generalist caster that counters everything that it is in WoL.

No? It still roots. I think the only change is that it's now a projectile which can be dodged with good until control.

I'm really loving Harstem and QXC's analysis at this tournament. It's been fantastic.

Very much so.

Very cool how much time changes stuff. At one point I remember popular zergs calling all maps with no 3 free easy to defend bases "shit maps."

Corrupters are insanely good against carriers and tempests.

Ah, I did forget about the massive air, haven't really seen those all tournament. But Zerg still has a seemingly large gap in their current air superiority capabilities.

Great analysis, violet gone into mutas and revealed them way to soon and did absolutely zero damage..

I believe WoodLeagueAllStar was proposing having an old style "instant-cast" fungal, but updating it so instead of rooting it slows.

Maybe they should make the phoenixes start with 4 range.
And make the range upgrade like armor/weapon 3X +1.
+1 being available at the cybernetic core and +2 and +3 only unlocked when fleet beacon is built.

fleet beacon is already required for +2 air
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

I assume Violet knew that this was a map that it is difficult to pressure the third base using hydras and wouldn t be able to prevent the voidray-collossi composition with other means than by going heavy mutalisk

10 range projectile that deals 30 damage to everything (used to deal 40 to armored).

Yes, it still roots. No idea why the other guy think it would only slow.

IM so rich after this tournament, seems to be a sick team, even winning gstl preseason, i think as of now the favorite to take the GSTL season.

Entombed has long been a hated map of Zergs, and a haven for Protoss players.

The mutas successfully got him out of the Void Ray/Colossus invincible army at least. This composition is potentially defeatable, would've liked to see just a couple infestors mixed in.

I agree. Balance arguments aside though, I must say that Blizzard did a phenomenal job with Protoss in HotS; all units are viable and interesting now. + Show Spoiler +

It's not the Void Ray/Colossus but the Void Ray/archon/templar that is the problem. Zerg needs to kill the protoss or cripple him economically before the Protoss reaches that composition.

Indeed, but I'm also talking about maps like CK and Daybreak.

At least CK is gone in the HotS ladder. Just need Daybreak to go too.
