People expected HotS because it would continue the trend of FC, but the sudden change to WoL did come suddenly, and it caught people off guard. Any reason why WoL was chosen? Would appreciate an answer if you can give one IPL.
My guess is that IEM is live and the HotS server is actually on site.

Polt was one of the terrans that still beat zerg in WoL. They were on the same team for so long they both know each others tvz inside out. Infact each of them is the reason the other is soo good at the matchup. I think Hyun will take it because Symbol has said Hyuns been the king of the training house even before he was doing well in tournemets.

It's a competition, not a charity, of course money goes to best players...

Seriously? The money goes to the players that people want to see. Mostly, these are the top players. Although sometimes, players will be popular for their personality or creative play.
This is awesome. But I don't understand this. How did IPL get cancelled and Fightclub still flourish, even get a 8000 price for one set of game. That's insane high. Fight Club along with the GSL final will be the final bell for WOL. Pretty cool, hmmm?

8000 is a drop in the bucket compare to something like IPL. Just the travel and board for all the players would have been costly.

SXSW is paying for this prize pool. IPL didn't have any big sponsors.
