To deny the drops you would need a bit of air, as you saw the afterburner got through 4 stalkers. The boost will go past phoenix. I just don't think SG is the right response to medivac drops specifically.

warpins
templars with feedback
phoenixes patrolling the edges of his base

Not the best hold from Grubby, but it's obviously hard with all the early game buffs to Terran. Suspect that most of the TvP games will revolve around 2 base terran's being very agressive. Gonna be interesting to see Bomber totally dominate this matchup!

It can cover the main and the third pretty effectively on that map actually. Photon Overcharge has a fairly large casting range.

Oh it is possible, just only against Meching Terrans. Now if only it was viable to open mech in TvP

It's not that absurd considering the contents of the medievac + the medievac was about the same.

One costs alot more gas than the other. Blink will not be out in time.

you can actually cast it on a nexus from pretty far away, if he had it in a good spot between all his bases it would only take 4 or 5 seconds to nexus cannon on any of them.

He did actually cast it 5 seconds after the drop

Uhm, the Medivacs can still Speed over the map AND into an enemy base, UNLESS the enemy is prepared with units in the right location. In the current situation you cannot ever stop drops from landing in your base which is a bit too powerful considering how efficient Terran bio is vs Protoss units.

GSL TvP has always been 60:40 or better for Terran, apart from early to mid 2012
