Just asking You will get shit on in a straight up engagement. Blizzard wanted to have a viable stargate opening in PvT right ? I'm sad if its still not possible To deny the drops you would need a bit of air, as you saw the afterburner got through 4 stalkers. The boost will go past phoenix. I just don't think SG is the right response to medivac drops specifically.

That way you can still surprise your opponent by speeding into his base but if he was prepared it won't be so crazy as it is now.
Seriously? You might has well not have speed boost then lol...

hey guys. i think grubby could have stopped that drop if he simply had: 6 stalkers waiting, planetary nexus cannons warpins templars with feedback phoenixes patrolling the edges of his base

Yes it will, its range is ridiculously high, just warp in, target the medivac and move the probes away.

somehow opening your mouth makes you a legend :>

Not the best hold from Grubby, but it's obviously hard with all the early game buffs to Terran. Suspect that most of the TvP games will revolve around 2 base terran's being very agressive. Gonna be interesting to see Bomber totally dominate this matchup!

It can cover the main and the third pretty effectively on that map actually. Photon Overcharge has a fairly large casting range.

Oh it is possible, just only against Meching Terrans. Now if only it was viable to open mech in TvP

Have 4 Stalkers in place? No problem I'll just speed by and continue to drop T_T Grubby should have anticipated that and had defense in the main. It was so low that a couple more Stalker shots or a Photon Overcharge would have cleaned it up no problem. Yes a drop should cost 6 stalkers to stop in different layers of your base? Lol, talk about a good risk v reward for Terran. 4 Blink Stalkers 5 Regular Stalkers 4 Regular Stalkers if spread out and you have better vision It's not that absurd considering the contents of the medievac + the medievac was about the same. One costs alot more gas than the other. Blink will not be out in time.

Am I seeing this wrong, or is MVP getting a bit fat? Maybe it's just a bad angle?

It can't cover more than one base at a time you can actually cast it on a nexus from pretty far away, if he had it in a good spot between all his bases it would only take 4 or 5 seconds to nexus cannon on any of them. He did actually cast it 5 seconds after the drop

Uhm, the Medivacs can still Speed over the map AND into an enemy base, UNLESS the enemy is prepared with units in the right location. In the current situation you cannot ever stop drops from landing in your base which is a bit too powerful considering how efficient Terran bio is vs Protoss units.

GSL TvP has always been 60:40 or better for Terran, apart from early to mid 2012

I'll take your sarcasm and forumzerg's whining (because they don't have 70% winrate zvt anymore) over Harstem's analysis, who basically said Grubby could've stopped it if he placed his units proper.
